Okay, finally found a 2500 Limited near me that I could drive and view the payload sticker. The news is just awful; 1,990 lb payload.

2019 RAM 2500 SRW 4x4 Limited Crew Cab 6"4" Bed
+Delmonico Red, $100
+Towing Tech Grp, $445
+Protection Group, $95
+5th Whl/Gooseneck Towing Prep, $445
+Body Color Bumper, $395
+Limited Level 1 Group, $2,995
+Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle, $445
+6.7L I6 Cummins Turbo Diesel, $9,100
+Power Sunroof, $1,095
-RamBox Delete, -$490

MSRP: $80,520

With our trailer's GVWR of 11,000 and 1,600 hitch weight, there doesn't appear to be any way a 2500 Limited is going to work for us as we'd only have 390 lbs of payload remaining. While we don't need the 5th Wheel / Gooseneck Towing Prep, we would like the RamBox, extra alternator, auto level air suspension, and deployable bed step. Does anyone know the weight of the sunroof or 5th Wheel / Gooseneck Towing Prep?

It's looking like if we're going to get a RAM, it'll have to be a 3500.

Here is a Big Horn and the payload is only about 15% better than the Limited above; 2,302 lb payload.

I've weighed mine and when empty with no gas, my real payload is about 3400#

FWIW.....

You guys are right and wrong. Lol. The only one that includes the weight of driver is the max trailer tow rating which is the most bogus number of them all. Lol.

They give 300 lbs for driver and one passenger...I weigh 285 lol.

So, payload is base weight subtracted from GVWR. Base weight is what includes full fluids...but no driver/passenger.

Towing weight is GCWR minus 300 lb driver and passenger and different weights for hitching equipment.

Here is the definitions for them all.188

Really appreciate you posting the sticker! But, dang, those 25's just don't have the payload that I had hoped. And, you don't even have the Ramboxes! If I was to hook up my trailer to your truck, I wouldn't even have enough payload to drive the darn blasted thing.

I sure could carry a lot more stuff if I didn't weigh six more stones than you. Thx Don-T for posting your sticker!

You can't get the 6.7 in the 2500 and expect a good payload... just not gonna happen, you really need to get a 3500 at that point.

Interesting observation... looks like the 20" wheels need the front inflated to 65psi and the 18" wheels are only 60psi... I have mine down at 60 (dealer had them at 72)... I want to drop the rear pressure a bit too after I tow a few times. I have read over at cumminsforum that people run lower pressures to improve the ride. Not that the ride is bad for a 1-ton truck, but, it is more harsh than the half ton.

Yes, while the PW is labeled as a 2500, it is a special case, for sure. That flexy-suspension is not for heavy hauling.
