So I guess the hitch is the main difference because your option are very similar to mineMy cclb SRW HO limited is 3700 without a hitch. All other options except sunroof and VSIM.

Ive been corrected several times about that and told it counts toward your payloadThe hitch is removable and shouldn’t be counted in the sticker payload, but who knows how the factory does it.

True but if I totally drop the fifth wheel thing Im stuck with that payload for the life of the truck,.I would assume the factory just puts everything the trucknis optioned for on or in the truck and then weighs it. So if it's optioned for a hitch, it goes in the bed and they weigh it. To me it's better if it is included since you would need to figure that into your calculations if you were making sure you had the capacity for any given trailer set up anyways. Might as well know the impact ahead of time...

That's true. Sorry to say but AFAIK, you also got the older "q-series" 20k curt hitch as opposed to the a-series 30k they offer with the dually max tow or a 25k a-series you could have bought from curt.True but if I totally drop the fifth wheel thing Im stuck with that payload for the life of the truck,.

That said, gawr/gcwr/over are what matters.
Mine perfectly matched the CAT scale.ZERO consistancy.... I believe they just throw decals on willy nilly
10000# GVWR - ( Actual weight of truck + 150# for 2 drivers and weight a full tank of fuel ) = listed payload capacity. There's a huge variation because the Cummins weighs 900# more than the Hemi, and a loaded 4x4 MegaCab Limited weighs a hell of a lot more than a stripped down 2wd regular cab Tradesman.what I meant was this 2500 has payload of 1500 lbs that one 3000, the next one 2300...
