I'm noticing an increase in the number of cross-posts occurring, primarily by new members.

It is a cardinal sin to cross post in online forums and is against the site rules here. It's confusing to members and frankly, inconsiderate.

Most here are probably watching the "What's new" or Latest Activity, so try not to be concerned you put the post in an "obscure" or low traffic sub forum. We prefer it's in an appropriate forum to begin with as it saves the staff time not having to move threads.

If you're not getting traction on your question, perhaps try editing the thread title, rephrase or add to your post, or reach out to the staff for suggestions or ask to move the thread to a more appropriate forum (if it isn't already moved.)

Also keep in mind that members may not respond quickly to frequently asked questions that are often easily found by using a simple search. For common word search failures when using the search box in the upper right, use the Advanced Search link at the top of the page.
