New RAM Owner PDI Checklist and FAQ

How many grounds are to be checked? Is there a difference on the number between Hemi and Diesel?

I don't know specifically. If you want to be that macro detailed, I'd say check under the hood of one and add that to your list.

Unfortunately, I don't have any really convenient nearby. The lots here are still pretty bare. A few 1500's and a couple barebones chassis and tradesman's. But since none of those are what I am getting I have no idea if this is a common thing between them all.

I am sure these grounds are something I would have to explain in a note on where they are located. So sorry for all the questions about them.

I can’t say specifically either for the ‘22, but I want to say the 3rd Gen has 3, and if that carries over to the 4th Gen I wouldn’t guess it’d change on the 4.5

There is a reason that tire pressure is something to check.

The factory wheel liners do not go all the way up from my understanding.
I have heard both coming with and not and some dealers taking care of the issue and some not so was curious
picking mine up Monday Not sure if it has them as expensive as these trucks are you would think since the build sheet says rear wheel liners it doesn't say 60% wheel liners
No box to check I want 60%,rear wheel liners not 100%

What did you set them at for the drive home?
It was taking forever to let the air out (I have a gauge that has an air release button), so I only brought the front down to 73. The rear outside I brought down to about 85. The rear inside I couldn't do anything about since I had no way to get to them. Their Service department had to shut down early today (small-ish dealer, so not a lot of techs in general), so no one there to take care of it. I need to buy some valve extenders and will set it when I get those.

Two things:
1) The check list should specify that for a dually, the air pressure gauge needs to have the long shaft with two ports, one facing backward 45 degrees.
2) Again, for a dually, purchase valve extenders ahead of time, or request the dealer install them
3) If your truck has TPMS, then you can check the pressures there, but you will still need a way to let air out if needed.

About 90% of my fuses were not fully inserted. When I pushed the first one and it clicked in, I called the salesman over to show him. He saw me push in just about every single fuse. I think there were only 3 or 4 that were fully seated.
At least they're consistent!

If you can I believe 65 up front and 60 in the rear is a good ride…or maybe I’m backwards. I’d be more worried about the alignment since that’s not something you can do at home.

Edit… 60 in the front 65/70 (I’ve heard 65 on the DRWs) below is the factory sticker for my 06 2500…

mbarber84 has some good info he puts out on Facebook here and there. Some of it is listed on the build forum.

Anything else you would like to note as DRW specific? Or Diesel Specific?

I would also be interested in a list of additional items that were with whatever packages you got. I am a little bored at work and can add all that in a list at the bottom.

You can look in the in cab power sticky to get the part number for the AUX switch wiring bag.

All trucks should have a 2.5" - 2" hitch reducer.

I'm sure there's another list around posted here for those "delivery items," but I don't think we had one sticky or FAQ built yet.
