Any details about your truck, gear ratios, 4X4, etc

I suppose that might help! Mega, 3.73, 4wd. Haven't towed or hauled anything yet. Maybe 65/35 city/Hwy. I'm not overly concerned, especially early on, just surprised it's not a bit higher.

I'm under 1,000 miles and my first calculated fill up was 11.7

4x4 crew 6.4 3.73. The drive is probably similar to city driving. I have hills, varying speeds, and stop lights to and from work. I don't commute loaded either

Are your trucks loosening up a bit after putting some miles on? I haven't hit 12 mpg yet, but I'm only at 750 miles. I wasn't expecting 16 like my 1500, but was hoping to get around 14.

Mine did....it started at about 14 or so and after 14,000 miles, I'm getting 15.5 on fuelly. It's about 1 mpg less than my 2018 Rebel was.....I think.

Had to run out to western NE to look at a job yesterday and decided to take personal truck just to see what a longer empty trip would do.
Trip out was roughly 120 miles of 2 lane, cruise set at 69, hilly drive - no mountains but hilly for North central Nebraska - then 122 miles westbound I-80 which is mostly flat but a steady climb in elevation the whole way. Return trip was exact same trip in reverse. Rest of miles were in towns, a couple drive thru's for food and a little time on a job site.
Reset trip odometer when I left gas station in home town, put in 10.0 gallons on the way home and filled up at same station in home town about 2 miles after last picture. Hand calculated over the entire 538 miles was 16.6. Not going to complain about this at all. Just a tick over 3500 total miles on truck.

Whatever gasser they develop I hope they figure out the cam/lifter problem. Way too many failures out there.
My 2021 6.4 with 4500 miles is in the dealership as I write this. They are replacing the engine because of cam and lifters. Oil had metal shavings. Chrysler has been very good with taking care of this problem.

I have a ‘21 3500 CCLB 4x4 3.73 with a little over 2,500 miles. I have been getting 14-16 around town and 19 on the highway with the cruise @ 70. I have gotten over 20 on a long stretch where the speed limit was 50 and I set the cruise to 55. My all time record is 21.8, filled up the truck and set the cruise @ 65 and must’ve had a tailwind lol.

Anybody with this combination care to share what kind of MPG they're getting with the new 8-speed and 6.4 combo?
I’m running 2022 Tradesman with limited 20’s and I get 18 mpg on the high way . City 11-12 and up to 15 if I take it easy

Just got back from picking my 22 up. It was a ~215 mile trip, half of it at 85, the other at 80 (99% highway). Cruise controlled it most of the way.

Truck has 238 miles on it as of this afternoon, and the dash is saying 14.3mpg. This tiny tank should be empty soon, so I'll try and get a mixed hwy/city mpg

2021 2500 6.4L Crew Cab 4x4 Short Bed Tradesman, 3.73, Transforce HTs at 70 psi, 7k miles odometer.

Averaging 15mpg on the lie-o-meter with about 50-60% highway and 40-50% city. Driving pretty easily, not too many hard starts or accelerations. I try and keep it under 2k rpm’s

Will report back after my first towing trip with this truck

I find my lie-o-meter is pretty accurate at around 11-12 MPG when I do the math myself at the pump. I need a lighter right foot.....

I get around 16 or 17 on the highway rolling at about 70, but I live in a very less than flat area. Get around 10 or 11 in town.

Is what it is. Didn't buy a 7K pound gas truck with fuel economy in mind. I'll pay to play.

I've found leaving the MPG gauge off did wonders for me. Plenty of better things to worry about.

Right at 14K miles, average is dead on 13. I have inputted every fuel up since I bought it. Worst was 11.9.

I am right there with you Lilbxl. That is what I average 13.0 -13.2. It is the price to pay for driving a BGE. If I wanted mileage I would have bought a Prius.....................
More cubic inches costs more oblong dollars.

Would I rather it get better mileage, sure. Do I care, not really. I've had GM's and Ford's and neither of those trucks had an exhaust note as healthy as this truck (yes, I do have an aftermarket muffler on it). And for a big truck, it handles and rides very well. It is also more comfortable too.

Exactly right. I am 6'5" and I love the room as well as having the bench seat. I guess I am old school with regards to the bench seat. Lol
