MOPAR - MAXCARE - Zeigler - Extended Warranty Merged Mega Thread

Well, all politics and insults aside, I'm still searching for just 1 dealership wanting to take on some business and sell between cost and MSRP. So far, 3 dealerships I've talked to said they can't go below MSRP due to their policy. My original dealer may be able to help, I'm seeing what their finance guy comes back with. If they play ball my bargaining chip is that I can probably give them some referrals from this forum from any Zeigler or Granger customers that are getting their contracts voided. We'll see.

Am I the only one [in this thread] in this situation or are there others getting notice they need to cancel their contracts in CA?

In Las Vegas I negotiated in free Max Care, but they came back to a 5/60 extended warranty, but it was free.

When I got my Ram, I was surprised and found Granger was able to sell me the warranty (I confirmed 3 months before my truck arrived) and I bought one. This week, they sent out notices to California (and Florida?) customers that Mopar is telling them they need to refund or change the home address to one outside the state.
I’d say don’t do anything. This scenario is popping up on other forums too, where granger realized their mistake, and telling people that mopar is telling them to do this.
I’ll link a thread below, but basically, a few guys have called mopar directly, and they have no record of telling granger this, their extended warranties are still valid, and they won’t be cancelled.
I think zach@granger owes some people some explanations, because even though they screwed up by selling to Florida and California residents when they weren’t supposed to, they can’t cancel or void the warranty, only mopar can, and this situation doesn’t meet any of the situations described in the warranty that mopar can cancel it.

Well, this is an interesting turn of events. But the "Granger can't cancel" statement seems contrary to my experience. I've ended and got the prorated remainder 3 times on previous Fords due to selling before they were done, and I always contact the selling dealership, not Ford directly. I wonder if something happened and they (Granger) are trying to avoid fines by CA and FL (not Mopar). I just would hate to try the do nothing approach, something happens, I take my truck in and I have no warranty in the system.

As a fun side note, just last night I was watching a brand new video on TFL channel where Andre was introducing the 2025 Maverick. The sponsor? Granger extended warranty, talking about how they save anyone thousands. Not once did they have him mention "anyone except CA or FL residents". :p

Just saw the warranty thread. FYI, if you are like me and your shop has been at the dealer over the electrical issues, contact Stellantis Customer care and get an agent assigned to you. I was able to get them to give me the 8yr/125,000 ($0 deductible) max care warranty for free after the truck sat waiting on parts for 3 weeks. Just wanted to share that info in case anyone else has had issues.
