Hey guys,
New to the forum, I purchased a lifted ram 3500 from a dealer and was looking to get an idea of how much the towing capacity is reduced. It is a 2015 Ram 3500 6.4 Hemi 4x4 with 3.73s from the factory. The best I can tell from investigation (as the dealer was useless) it is a rough country lift which was only offered as a 5” lift. The lift is advertised as having maintained the payload capacity from factory. It is on 37X12.5R20 Nitto terra grappler g2s. I know I will need a significant drop hitch of 10-12” for most trailers and I know the bigger tires affect the gearing in a negative way for towing. I am just trying to figure out what a “safe” towing capacity would be with the modifications present.
