Key fob remote start won't work now.

So yesterday my husband got mad when he received an email about our new 2024 Ram 3500 DRW mileage being tracked, so he called and had the free trial of uconnect removed. Now my key fob remote start isn't working. Can anyone tell me why?

There’s no connection between the systems. One doesn’t affect the other. If your low fuel light is on it won’t remote start, so I’d check that.

Also, shutting off the Uconnect (RAM Connect is the actual name on current trucks) trial doesn’t stop them from tracking the truck, or collecting other data from it. All that’s happened is that you’ve lost the use of the services.

Truck is full it's brand new. I told my husband that also. I'll be calling the dealership again tomorrow.

Do you both use a computer? Tracked.

Do you both have a face? Tracked.

As said, they're still tracking the truck, you just don't have the cool phone app remote start or theft notification now.

Also as stated by others, the key FOB functions have ZERO to do with the UConnect services.

Lol, the truck tailgate was down the whole time from loading and unloading things, that why it wouldn't start. I knew the remote wasn't connected to the uconnect system but it was funny that it quit working at the same time he cancelled it.
