Installed 5th gen tailgate on my gen 4 need help wiring on tailgate release latch

got the tailgate mounted, got my old camera installed and working but can’t figure out how to wire tailgate release latch, I can release it my hot wire but wiring to latch doesn’t work. Performed ohms test on latch, but no signal, I’m sure it must go to the BCM somehow. Anybody else figure this out?

What years? There isn’t a 5th gen HD truck yet.

I have 2018 3500 dually, installed 2023 tailgate I believe it was off a 2500

Hey do you have any pictures of how you mounted the camera in the latch ??

Sorry, I did not take any pictures. I set the handle up in my mill and made a pocket for the new(old) camera where the original one was.
