I am from WA, got my Registration Certificate for my RAM 2500 MG a few days ago, I found the Gross Weight on the Registration Certificate is 12,000 lbs. Did anyone see same problem? Do I need to get corrected. Please ignore my question if this is not the right channel. Thanks!

What is an "MG"?

I'd be happy if mine said 12K! What does your door post sticker say? Post a picture of that please.

I'd check to see if you paid more for the extra 2K pounds, shouldn't it be 10K Gross weight? And what is MG, I'll bet its MC.

The door sticker says 10K lbs. The registered GW does not match 3500 also. I guess it is a mistake, but I am not sure how it happened? Is there any problem if I don’t correct it.

No idea if there will be an issue. I'd ask the State of Washington's DMV folks. Looks like it is there mistake.

In 2008 I went to register the GCW to 26K, on my 07 C&C. It turned out the dealer incorrectly registered the C&C as a regular pickup. Commifornia required true commercial registration of my C&C and I had pay $$$$$$$$$, when I quit commercial operation of the C&C, Commifornia didn't care and I still had to declare the GCW. Thats right, I registered at 15K GCW, the lowest tier. I was still required to go through the scales empty or not, as well as the declared 15K GCW sticker on the side of the cab. I ignored that and never got pulled over, but had they weigh me with my 5ver in tow, it would be a big fine.

Had the same issue with a different truck, went to DMV for the correction. I didn't have any issues, but didn't want any either.

Thank you to everyone for sharing! I think that is clear to me now. I am going to DMV to correct it.
