I'd be tempted to go with ford but I can't get over the 'slapped on' look of the DRW side fender arches...

I test drove a 2018 $76K Ford F350 DRW diesel and really liked the interior, esp. the tech aspect. I did the walk around examining every inch - then backed away at various angles etc. I can't get over the 'hurried' / 'cheep' look that those rear fender arches present. Even in the high priced specimen that I examined the joining seam between the body and fender 'arch' had a modicum of variation and that seam between disparate sheet metal components just strikes me as a 'last minute' / after thought - addition.

Otherwise, I really liked the high stance of the truck and its somewhat more refined ride (unloaded). As this truck is only for 'work' not doubling as an SUV that comfort thing is actually a negative for myself, personally. Lastly, even though I think ford did a great job aesthetically from the front (looking "new" & fresh) I have to say that the 2010 - 18 ram HD just looks more refined despite its aging headlights, grill etc. Any metal fabricator or any appreciator of the female form could probably wax elocuent on the contiguous curves of the DRW Rams over the competition, lol....

The DRW rear fender arches are one of the reasons why I'm not buying a new Ford and switched to buying a Ram 3500. Even if Ford's diesel was better (it's not), and they had a decent warranty (it's not), and a decent price (LOL, not), the Ford would still be an ugly DRW truck.

Agree on the fender look.
Also - I cant stand the Ford square bracket headlights. Looks cheap and nerdy to me.

I got the factory leds on my 3500 and I think the front looks tough and classy with running lights or headlights on.

Im not even that interested in looks - but for some reason in my mind this [: == :] does not belong on a truck.

Ya that Ferd face is one that only a mother could love and then there is the stuff the General is doing...good grief! Looked at the grill of a Denali the other day and through the grill you could see the rad which wasn’t so bad but you could also see all the brackets and crap. It looked unfinished and reminded me of the 80’so_O

I had a 99 F350 powerstoke. Ordered it. Was a damn good truck for 20’yrars and over 300K miles but wanted something different so here I am waiting on my 2020 3500 limited I ordered 11/13

I was a long time Ford fan, and I came close to buying a new F250. Doing some due diligence, I researched the Ram and GM offerings, and was greatly surprised with the new Ram. Not as surprised as many of my Ford friends when I bought my Ram.

The '99 Powerstroke had a 7.3 liter with 2 valves per cylinder, those engines were underpowered and lasted forever !!
I owned a 2002 Powerstroke F350 with the 6.0 liter diesel for a year and a half, unfortunately the truck had all kind of mechanical issues (it was a brand new truck) starting from: the injectors, to the transmission, and the cooling system... and a check engine light per month or so...….. despite all that I really liked the truck. Ultimately, I got soo fed up with it that I ended up selling it. Too bad.

My thoughts too on the rear fenders. Ugly Betty style.

That and Ford has that goofy step down section on the sill of the door in the middle of the window. That is the most uncomfortable thing ever done to a truck, it feels awkward resting your arm on it when the window is down.

If you get a Ford make sure you don't live in a cold climate, the doors wont close. lol I just got rid of a Ford because it was in the dealership 3 times because when the temp dropped and had moisture in the air the doors do not latch. They just bounce off of the door jamb. Google ford frozen doors, its a huge problem.
