Why does thr HomLink open my garage door when the truck is locked anf the key is out of range?

Always wondered why Home Link wasn't tied into the ignition. My 2003 was the same way. Anyone breaks into the truck can open the garage door.

Always wondered why Home Link wasn't tied into the ignition. My 2003 was the same way. Anyone breaks into the truck can open the garage door.

I guess if you don’t have homelink and have the regular garage door opener it’s hot all the time as well. I find it semi convenient as sometimes I open without having my key fob nearby.
