Grid Heater RELAY Recall (new)

No report from the fire department as to origin of fire. Pictures and anecdotal information showing the location of the initial fire. No attorney yet. And yes, I can go through my insurance. They are aware. I am attempting to get it solved at the manufacturers level first with my insurance company being my backstop. I dont want to engage an attorney, but will if required. This is a larger issue for all Ram diesel truck owners. I posted merely to make folks aware.
To be honest its already been a month I would have my insurance involved and let them pay the lawyers to find out who's fault it is get the ball rolling at least so you can be in a new vehicle sooner.

So where did the fire start? Was it at the relay? At this point how can any of us truck owners be aware if you have not stated exactly where the fire started.

I hope you get it sorted out

Last response to this. I'm not going to layout my entire strategy on a thread. I am a little bit more strategic than that. I have alluded to where we believe the fire started. I will be more clear. It appears to be from the grid heater location. I will engage payment through my insurance company when I deem it necessary. They have all the information, a claim has been started but I am post ponning any financial involvement at this time. The awareness of the truck owners is that this is a possibnility albeit slight. Six fires have started and I may be the seventh. That was my only purpose.

So it was the grid heater that caught fire not the relay? The relay is on the passenger side of the truck the heater is on the intake. You keep saying the heater caught fire which is why i ask as the relay is known for fires hence the recall. I can say i have ever heard of a heater catching fire.
