Sadly these days the police seem more interested in harassing members of the public than actually enforcing the laws now i know there are many good ones out there but there is a ton of bad ones for every one good one. They seem to like to have the intimidation over the people they are dealing with so when someone is armed they step down and walk away as they know they cant intimidate the person who is aiming at them…. This LEO could have been a hero and stopped the gunman before anyone lost their life but he chose to be a coward. That LEO should be fired immediately and blacklisted from any police force.“Butler County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that one officer climbed up onto the roof, saw Crooks armed with a rifle and retreated.”
Sad. As a former LEO- we get paid for the lord’s work - you engage an active shooter. If you die, hopefully they do too- that’s what you signed up for. Unfortunately, the Texas school shooting and now this shows us that snowflakes have infected the LE profession. This deputy should be fired and ashamed of himself/herself and doesn’t deserve to wear the badge. I guess too many academy lessons of “don’t have tombstone courage” has finally backfired.
Pretty sure by not fulfilling the oath to “serve and protect” they take that is unlawfulLike it or not, the policy don't have a legal requirement to protect anyone. I don't necessarily agree with that, but that is the ruling by SCOTUS. People shouldn't assume that policy have a duty to protect you, that have the duty to enforce laws, but no duty to put their life in jeopardy to do so.
Again, I don't necessarily agree, but that's the law.
Don’t get too excited about your idea of him as being “one a them libruls”.
He was also a registered Republican.
I'm just telling you that, as the highest court in the land sees it, they have no duty to step into the line of fire, even potentially. You can argue with anyone all day if that's good or bad, I'm just telling you the laws as they are written and understood today.Pretty sure by not fulfilling the oath to “serve and protect” they take that is unlawful
If you truly feel that the right doesn't have their own extremists, perhaps that's a sign you're too deeply ingrained to see things clearly. The dems are arguably the majority political party today, but things haven't always been this way, nor are they likely to stay this way.
Pretty sure that's not what I said.Your first post in a thread regarding an assassination attempt is to deflect responsibility and create confusion relating to motive.
Real classy!
before DEI / after DEI

I really urge you all to look past your political biases and try and look at the reality of the world we live in.
I can see that most here are strongly right leaning, and for sake of transparency I am in certain aspects, but I'm mostly a Libertarian and that means I strongly dislike the government as a whole, and both sides of the political isle, while also being pragmatic and realizing that some government likely needs to exist if I'm unwilling to make the trade offs required to live in a land without any real government.
I was really shocked to see the video of her (I assume) asking where to go, unable to holster her weapon, etc. Just basic training stuff.
