84-93 is first gen
94-01 is 2nd gen (02 for the 2500/3500)
02-05 for 3rd gen
06-08 for 3.5 gen (09 for 2500/3500)
09-18 for 4th gen they kept the 4th gen 1500 till 21 calling it a classic
19-present for 4.5 gen 2500/3500s
19-present for 5th gen 1500s
