Frame holes taped up instead of doing it right.

Since threads are worthless without pics, here are a couple. My truck is a crew cab and it took 18 plugs. They're a really nice tight fit. $2.89/pc from MoparPartsGiant and almost a month lead-time.

Could you share a link.
I too wasn't happy with the freaking holes all over. I was able to fill a few with plastic push fasteners. This 3500 body is light and full of holes..guess the trade off is the 4300 lb payload..
TIA

Thanks for sharing. The tape on mine has been starting to peel. This looks so much cleaner then using tape in a $90k truck. Lol!

Mine was starting to peel off. Probably because they got a vendor with a lower price. Of course, the lower price meant lower quality as well.
Corners are a little peely but overall the tape is still covering the holes. I don’t see it as a big deal but if I lived in a salty road area I would probably look at my frame more

bother anyone else that the valve is wrong?
The valve shaft is probably square and the little hande positioned 90 degrees to one side. Although having the handle inline with the hose when open makes it easier to identify if open or closed. And THAT is my words of wisdom for today. LOL

Agree that's probably the NO/NC handle position, but having it closed when inline makes it less likely to get bumped during handling and spraying water everywhere. Particularly since it appears to be setup on a cord reel (presence of stopper).

Sometime you gotta think outside the box...

Wrestled with this when I purchased my 2009 new. Previous 2005 had the rubber plugs so I thought the tape looked cheap. To be honest other than looks, the tape works better IMHO. No place for the salt to lay as with the lip on the plug. I've got a 2012 with the factory duct tape over the holes and it is still there no issues living in the salt belt. Will be 14 years old in December.

I installed these today in my 2024, appreciate all the links/pics etc.

Several pieces of tape already peeling, holding sand and grit behind them - so any wishes that the tape might not hold road garbage against the frame sadly may be just that (for me at least).

Needed 12 - 16 is a full order, but my Mopar steps covered 4 of them (and actually, the steps might not have been mountable if tape wasnt used, as the brackets partially cover the holes a bit).
