Just some thoughts and part numbers for discussion/reference.
So the 2019+ Hemi and Cummins use the same air filter.
My 2019 (Hemi) came with pn 53034051AB (yellow media, orange seal)
The Replacement filter is pn 68517554AA (white media, black seal)

Per the Mopar website, the 68517554AA pn replaces pn 53034051AB

The fitment is fine on the white one, but admit the yellow one feels a bit more robust.
Hopefully the superceeded it with a better part not just a cheaper part.

Makes sense to use the same air box and filter. Same room under the hood, no matter which motor.
Cost savings and less relearning on the assembly line.

I changed mine too and also agree the new one is not not as robust feeling as the original one on my 2020 pw. At least it says made in the USA. this is the second time I have changed mine in 12600 miles. I changed the first time at under 5000 miles but it was because I did the white rim trail and other dusty trails in Moab. the air box does a good job of collecting bugs of all types but keeping them in the bottom of the air box where they belong. I do a fair amount of 80mph+ driving so don't feel bad changing often. Amazon had them for under $35.

I wouldn't trust Amazon on this stuff. Probably a lot of fakes out there. Geno's Garage has the good stuff.
while I agree that there are fakes on Amazon, the filter I got was shipped in the factory sealed packaging. I would have returned it if it were a fake. Any product that Amazon that says it is genuine OEM is or they will return your money.

Just put a fram in that looks identical to the OEM yellow and orange one. $40 CAD.

I usually check out the sellers before purchasing and buy on Amazon or ebay from Mopar dealers. Spare air filter I picked up was the white one and came directly from a dealer.

I installed a Fram on my truck and got a code, I think it was low turbo boost. P299? I can't remember. I installed a mopar and the code cleared. The Fram filter looked fine to me.

so my 6.7 HO threw an under boost code. Apparently aftermarket STP filters, regardless of their 1:1 replacement from mopar will kick your truck effectively out of warranty. I asked the dealer and mopar for the ISO filtration and flow requirements to call their bluff as I don’t believe the “glue strips” have any effect…crickets and “we rely on the dealer”… but word to the wise on replacing with non mopar filter.

My Fram air filter has not thrown a code. Really makes that air nice and clean too!

With part shortages due to (insert conspiracy theory here) I would recommend running the OEM filter. I am assuming due to the part shortages, any excuse to deny a warranty even going directly to HQ

In Canada warranty cannot be denied for using aftermarket filters that meet OEM spec. Period.

Yeah the US has something similar, the burden of proof falls on the consumer. I've never seen a Fram filter in a control test near the same quality as an OEM regardless if it says so on the box.

What I'm implying is a possibility exists, it very much depends on a variety of factors
