OK figured it's finally time to post the finished product. All I have left to do is add a different tonneau cover so will have access to the bed posts to accommodate a rack system for carrying our bicycles and Thule Cargo Carrier when we go camping. Working with the dealer to also swap my scratched side steps with full credit and replace with the Mopar motorized ones if they can work out the labor costs. $1000 for labor is a joke. I would do the work otherwise but they need to make it right on their scratched ones so. I prefer the cleaner line look with the side steps disappearing but if they can't work it out I'll just leave the stationary ones.

Mods include :
-Thuren 2" leveling kit - front coils and extended links for factory air ride
-FOX 2.0 IFP Tuned Shocks all around
-Thuren Sway Bar with Billet links
-Thuren Track Bar
-FOX 2.0 ATS Steering Stabilizer
-35" Nitto Recon Grapplers on OEM 20" wheels
-AEV Procal to adjust tire sizing for correct speedo and to reduce PSI for TPMS
-McGard Black Wheel Lugs and Locks
-3/8" Bora Aluminum Wheel Spacers all around
- M&R Automotive 30" Led Grill Light Bar and hood ditch lights. Both with amber DRL's.
- Silverholder 79" Hood LED Light strip
- Rough Country EBoard Side Steps
- Bedrug (Full)
- Vixen Triple Trumpet 150psi 1/2 gallon Train horn
-Weather Tech Mudflaps
-Putco 60" Blade Tailgate LED Light
-Medium Tint application 2 front windows with 2 inch limo tint for top windshield brow

Everything wrenched in home garage with exception to the dismount/mount of tires which I took to the local tire shop myself and of course the wheel alignment.

Oh... And thank you to everyone in here who has helped me along the way.

One of the questions on the general part of the CDL test, why should you not toot the air horn when you see a kid giving you the arm up and down request? Correct answer: So you don't scare the **** out of the person driving that isn't expecting it.

Makes total sense. I wouldn't overuse it for sure. It is obnoxious. I installed for when pulling our TT. Had many close calls with bozos who can't drive. Now they will hear it from me if so deserved.

where did you get the billet sway bar links? A part of the Thuren sway bar kit or from somewhere else?

The billit links are a $60 option when you order the sway bar. From what I can tell you just can't buy them separate, I will email Thuren to see if they will become available to purchase separately.

So this install happened slowly over the last couple nights. Bad experience with this dealer I bought the truck from regarding getting power steps so I said screw them and do it on my own. I went with the Rough Country EBoards and couldn't be happier. Quality product from my perspective and think they will withstand the test of time. Plus have a lifetime warranty so can't go wrong. I think better than the AMP brand and certainly better than the Mopar factory ones. Glad I found these. Only work for install in the Gas trucks unfortunately and not Diesels.

My brand new Ram stationary take off boards are for sale if anyone is interested. They are in mint condition. I'll post in the Sale Forum when I get the chance. Otherwise up on Ebay they go.

Nice find, I installed RC power steps on the 1500 I used to have, they swung out instead of down so this is totally new. Kind of wish I would of opted for after market power steps instead of the factory for 2 reasons, being the lighting option and the factory power steps don't tuck underneath the truck like an AMP step. Side by side my brother's 2018 with AMP steps are invisible and the steps on my truck are very visible.

Agree 100%. The RC have only been out less than 1 year I believe. Pretty new product but getting great reviews. They tuck under awesome. Can't see them at all. Totally disappear. Visually very appealing and minimal gap at that when they fold. You have to look really hard to see they are there when folded.

I highly considered the AMP steps but swayed away for 3 reasons after reviewing the instructions:

1. Wiring installation with the RC steps is not as involved and totally seperate from the electronics of the truck. Doesn't tie into the OBD plug like the AMP needs. The RC steps has its own seperate control module which the prefabricated wiring harness plugs into. Hooks up all on the underside exterior of the truck. Most involved process on the wiring was figuring how to run the white color passenger wire over other side inside the cab for the right side door sensors which work via magnets stuck in the interior door sill with opposite side magnet stuck on the doors. Very cool design. After some engineering thinking I figured out the perfect wiring routes and so clean everything is hidden. The RC directions aren't the best but you can figure things out if your knowledgeable enough. I can help anyone that needs it but in simple summary the wiring entry point into the cab on newer trucks like mine there is a drain plug right under the drivers seat left side of the rear passenger heating/AC blowout vent in the floor that you drill a hole into. Thats where you come in. Not under the footwell of the drivers side as instructions direct. Then I fished the wire between the carpet and body frame to the passenger side sill. That took the most time of the install and running all of the wires carefully.

2. The AMP setup you also need rivet gun etc etc. The hardware on the RC is very simple to install.

3. Price. RC steps were $1200 vs. $1600+ for the AMP. The RC is rated a little less for weight. It's 300lbs.for each side step. The competition like Amp believe has a 500lb. rating per step. 300lb rating was plenty for me personally and my family.

The warranty on the Rough Country is solid too.

Just my additional 2 cents.....

The RC swing out version I installed seemed to be a little less complicated. Each side wired into the same module, a hot wire to the battery and then the module connected to the green star link block that triggered the steps with no magnets required. Directions were not the best, but half the fun is figuring things out on your own.

Added the full Bedrug last night. Fit like a glove. Really like it. Protects items in the bed plus cargo itself plus quiets everything down in there and now can also kneel when working with cargo.

Additional pic showing clean lines of the truck now with stationary running boards removed and having the Rough Country EBoards in place
