Beautiful spot!

Where did you stay?
Nice set up you have there. I see you had TTPMS added post sale. Just wondering about how much that cost and did you have the dealer add it? How do you like vs an aftermarket? I am in a similar situation as I thought the 2020's were supposed have it but did not.

The KOA in Silt. Took the whole afternoon, on the third day, to veg and listened to the river. Talk about an "Ahhhhhhh" moment.

Someday we'll go back with one huge exception. Never to take I-70 east of Vail. That stretch, through there, can compete with Baja events. No kiddin'!

True dat.... took a trip to Utah from Co Springs two weeks ago. Bottomed the suspension out on the way there on I70. Took the construction signs seriously on the return and still got jolted pretty good a few times. Used the opportunity to once again discuss with the wife the importance of a tire and suspension upgrade on the new truck (ordered).

Because it sucks so bad I haven't been on it in a while, I-25 south of Castle Rock was a complete mess but I don't know the current state.

We normally take Hwy83 south to the Springs or to at least County Line Rd that pops out on the hill down to Monument, but I wasn't thinking clearly one day and ended up on I25 through that construction. I think I put 10 years of wear on the RV suspension.

Spent another weekend in the Forest. Same place as last time. It is much more green and muddy.

A guy slid off the road...not sure how...but he managed. Took 2 wreckers to get him out.

We packed up the pouring rain at 37 degrees. Still better than being near civilization.

We also found a geocache near where we camped.

Nice area. Surprised that was a two wrecker job. Must be a steeper bank than it looks in the pics.

Yeah. The picture makes it look like he was right even with the road. He was about 6 to 10 feet bellow the road. And the road was very loose.

If he would have went over about 6 feet back...it would have rolled and been about 200 feet down to near the bottom

We are home from an extended camping tour in Arizona over the Memorial Day weekend. Talk about hot, dry and dusty. They need rain in a bad way (The same way that New Mexico needs to put some money towards fixing their damn roads and interstate).
20210528_081100.jpg

Our first day was traveling and staying overnight in Gallup (NM). Nothing to write home about. Our second day, per photo, was in Heber/Overgaard (AZ). We saw friends and our daughter/granddaughters came up from Surprise (AZ) to spend a little time with their mother/grandmother and me. It was good to see them!

After our granddaughters left our 11 month old miniature schnauzer was catching up on her naps.
20210531_192414.jpg
The Sunday before Memorial Day, we picked everything up and moved on to Show Low (AZ). Here we stayed at my BIL place. Which, at one time,....
20210602_095848.jpg
...was a fancy resort in the White Mountains of Arizona. Now it's their summer home. It's nice and really, this photo doesn't do it justice showing how massive it really is. While we were staying here we saw BIL and his wife and friends that were camping at a nearby almost lake (H2O level was way down). Again, it was good to see everyone!

Heading back home, we stayed at an overly-priced RV Resort in Durango (CO). They gave us a spot with a view (If you didn't mind the Hwy noise)! While it was great to see friends and family in dry and dusty AZ, it was better yet to see and feel the familiar surroundings of the Rocky Mountains.
20210604_083419.jpg Photo taken just prior to packing it up and heading home to our little Colorado town. BTW -Our Ram 2500 pulled the infamous Wolf Creek Pass with no problems (Contrary to what some say about the Ram). In fact, since Wolf Creek Pass is constantly patrolled by the state I really had to watch my speed going up-the-grade. 10 over with pedal to spare was enough. Granted, she's no hotrod, but I didn't purchase her for that purpose. I have a 600hp 1970 Challenger for that purpose. ;)

Well that's it! We are already planning a camp outing to Cripple Creek (CO) for a few days getaway. Should be fun!

Pulling Wolf Creek at speed limit or better with pedal left IS damn fun isn't it?

It is! Funny thing is, I could had swore I was doing the speed limit (45mph). Nope! After I passed the third rollerskate and keeping a sharp lookout for state, critters, on-coming, 18-ers and views (can't forget 'views'), then and only then I realized what it was all about. I'll let you in on my discovery...
It's Torque Baby!!! Toooooooorque!!!
*ahem* Please excuse me, but after traveling over Wolf Creek, so many times, pulling a heavy a$$ cargo trailer and blowing the literal snot out of that 5.7 HEMI on a 3.92 ratio ^^^This^^^ this is exciting to me! Plus, this is my first diesel experience.

Me and Mrs skreef go geocaching when we go camping. If you pick your caches carefully, geocaching can take you to some strange and wonderful places. We also have a few caches we've placed out in the world including one we placed last year in a small private RV campground in Hiawassee GA. The campground owners have geocached in the past and were more than happy to let us place a cache in their campground. It's gotten pretty good play considering it's in a slightly out of the way area. Going camping there in a couple of weeks so we'll get to check up on it.

Spent the last few days at Stone Mountain, NC. Most relaxing camping trip I've had in a long time.

Spent the week at Pueblo Lake State Park in Colorado.

No pics to post right now, maybe when I recover.

A week of boating and playing in 100F weather is relaxing and tiring at the same time...
