Can someone verify that even when no trailer is hooked up on the 7-way pin, and you are on the Trailer Brake screen in the DIC that the % applied to the brake display still moves showing how much brake is applied. I thought it only displays the % while connected to a trailer.

It will show the percentage even without a trailer connected. The brake controller sends a brake signal to the 7 pin all the time unless it detects a short.

I used to put it on the brake controller screen when using adaptive cruise as it would show me when the truck was hitting the brakes.

Yes.

Interesting to watch when you have cruise on and the exhaust brake is working.

People don't believe me when I tell them the truck and trailer brakes are applied if needed even with EB running.
