Good evening folks. As a fireman in North Carolina for over 36 years, seeing the devastation and catastrophic damage in Western North Carolina breaks my heart. Countless firefighters, both career and volunteer, have lot their homes. Several first responders have lost their lives trying to help their neighbors during this unprecedented disaster. Many communities are still cut off as roads and bridges are wiped out. I'd like to ask you to consider a small contribution to those affected first responders in that part of NC. The North Carolina State Firefighters' Association has a fund that allows every dollar collected go to relief, with no admin costs deducted. This is the link with info on how to donate. https://ncsfa.com/hurricane-helene-relief-for-western-nc-firefighters If you aren't comfortable donating in this manner, please consider a donation to the Red Cross. This tragedy was repeated from Florida to Virginia, so folks will need lots of help.
