Aisin transmission jerking hard when coming to a stop

I'm hoping someone has a similar experience that I'm having on my 2024 Ram 3500 LTD. with the HO Cummins and Aisin Transmission with 3,000 km’s (1,864 Miles). Whenever I come to a slow stop (normal driving, not towing) at a red light, etc. the transmission jerks hard into 1st gear, or seems like it pushes the truck forward hard when coming to a normal slow stop. If I come to a very hard fast stop it doesn’t happen. I have been to a reputable dealer, and they have reset the transmission software twice and it helped for about 2 days then went back to the issue. Next, the dealership installed a new Valve Body and changed fluids for the transmission and its still doing it. There is no TSB Bulletin, and we don’t think it’s a torque converter issue.

Anyone here can help me out with any similar experiences or any ideas on what it may be? Any comments or help is very much appreciated!

How many threads are you going to make…..

That is normal at first. You have an HD truck not anything like your old 1/4 ton.

Did I make more than one thread?
Dealership and mechanics said it's not normal, hence why they are trying to fix it. Also, 2 of my friends have the same truck as me and they don't have this issue. We've driven each other's. Do you think it's normal for your body to jerk forward when you brake softly as if someone rear ended you? If you had the same issue how long did it take for yours to fix itself?

If its very violent then its not normal but there is a strong shift to first that some get when the trans is new. It sounds like their could be a clutch pack issue to me if it is grabbing that hard, does it shift out of first nice when accelerating?

Doesn't sound normal.

The HO/Aisin has an aggressive downshift with the EB and Tow Haul engaged that may seem abnormal to new owners, but it cuts off at 12MPH/900RPM in 2nd before it drops to 1st gear.

Thanks for the reply. It's doing it when not in those modes but I appreciate the input.

Your dealer should just get a trans for it if they believe it’s defective. They don’t get overhauled. It valvebody or unit

I have 9,000 miles and it still does it. The dealership said they would replace it then after a few weeks of having it there they said the district manager won't allow a new transmission to be placed in. The answer is that they want it to get worse first then see as there are no codes being issued.

i have a fairly new mini clubman 2020 with the 8 speed aisin which lunges forward when coming to traffic light stop( sensation of your butt been kicked).....no codes . Requested to flush out 3 litre fluid replace with motul multi ATF...first flush has resulted so much improved....did 3 flushes and now the traffic stop kick butt symptom has totally gone. Normal driving shifting has also improved but not to my expection of 100% butterly smooth shifft but it is liveable.
