Well, after weeks of research and debating I decided I’d try and run 37’s on my stock 2019 2500 Laramie diesel. Went with Fuel Blitz rims 20x9 +20, and Toyo AT3 37x12.5r20. Got a great deal from #discounttire. They test fitted one front wheel as they said they would not fit. It rubbed slightly on the back fender liner. I went home and trimmed the plastic, ground down the pinch weld about a 1/4” and zip tied the liner back. Total trim job took less then 20 minutes. Went back and had them install the wheels. Wheels fit perfectly.

Illl run this until I decide if I want the Thuren +1” front, -1/2” rear setup for a softer ride.
Happy with the AT3’s too. Look aggressive and are smooth and quiet. Running them at 55 psi fronts, 53 psi rears.

Looks good. Any spots it’s likely to rub off road?

Was this a typo and you meant 36.5"? Do you think I could get away with a +18 offset (pushes tire out further) instead of +20 without cutting more metal than you did?

No, it measured out at 35.5”

you would probably have to trim the same. I’m getting a little rub on the back wheel well when I full crank it in reverse.

Thanks for this, I really like this look!

I have a few questions; if that's ok...
When you say smooth and quiet, do you mean they are better than the OEM for both?
Also, any difference in fuel mileage?
Did it change the height of the vehicle? (I tow a 5th so worried about height increase)
Did it affect the speedo accuracy?
Finally, do you tow with this at all?

Sorry for all the questions, and I did start another thread for my questions, but I think I like your setup better than others I've seen so far...
Thanks in advance for anything you can share!

Agreed to all of his questions, I'm looking at picking up some Toyo AT3's also.

I'm surprised these measured out so small too. Toyo lists the "inflated overall diameter" as 36.5. Maybe they inflate to the max, but 1" still seems like a big difference. I have the AT-2 Xtreme version on my old truck and love them, except in the rain. I heard the AT-3's were improved for rain/snow so I was planning to get them but may look at the Ridge Grapplers since they're supposedly almost true to size.

I am glad to see this. I have +18 wheels. I was thinking I would need to remove the plastic molded piece at the bottom. I will try this. My tires and wheels are here but my suspension is still a couple of months out.

Man that’s a beautiful truck ! Thanks for the pics. She doesn’t look like it came up that much at all, just looks like it’s sitting square. Does the new parts have more travel or the same as before ?
Thanks. It still had a rake to it. I did install the Thuren +1” front, -1/2” rear setup. I would think I have more travel since the springs are a few inches longer than the stocks, but also softer progressive spring rates. The truck does drive WAY smoother with the Thuren setup. I also added their front swaybar. I'd highly suggest Their Springs. I went with the Fox 2.0 as the Kings were on a big back order. The truck is almost dead level now. Ram.jpg

After a few months with the tires, I can still say they are nice and quiet. Maybe not as quiet as the stockers but very close. They are just as smooth if not more smooth.

Fuel mileage is down. Hard to say, as my speedo is off approx 15-20%. But I'd guess about 1.5mpg.

The height of the vehicle changed as I put a bigger tire on it. Simple math on that one.

I tow a 22' aluminum boat. Zero issues.

I get a small rub on the drivers side back liner at full turn. I am going to try and put another zip tie in or see if I can tighten the one I have there now. I have not made any adjustments since I installed.

Do you think you could have gotten away with just cutting the liner? Do you think it would have rubbed on the pinch welds if you hadn't taken a little off?

Did it start rubbing again after the lift? When you put the 1" front lift on it would have moved the front axle slightly to the driver's side unless you have an adjustable track bar. It is not usually an issue with 1". Not really an issue regardless since you can just trim a little more. Looks Great!

Possibly. I think it would still rub on the pinch weld though. Rubbing was the same on the drivers side pre and post 1" front lift. I did not get the adjustable track bar. Thuren suggested replacing that after 30k+ miles. So I held off on that part. I did get a yard of gravel the other week, and the truck did squat more. I knew I was losing some payload with the softer springs. Trade offs.... I'll take the softer ride for daily use, vs the loss of payload capacity. I don't tow any heavy equipment.

@FrugalB thanks for the updates and new photos; really a good look!

Your original post really caught my eye and in the end I went with the exact wheels in 18". I tow with a 5th wheel, so even though I love the look of those 37s, I went with a smaller tire - LT295/70R18. When all done, I might have raised the truck by 1/2" or less so my 5th wheel should still fit ok. I ended up with Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws as I could not get the Toyo AT3s in Canada.

I'm very pleased with the look, and even more pleased with how much the ride has improved.

Nice! The Wildpeaks were in consideration. My cousin has them on his 4runner and loves them. He drives the **** of of his 4runner too, and has not had any issues.
Lets see a pic of your truck!

That looks great. I plan on running 37's on the AEV wheels with no lift in the beginning. I assume you cannot fit the spare in the stock location, correct?
I was looking into an aftermarket tailgate with tire mount as a solution.
