2025 RAM HD Builds and Orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

My 2025 ram 3500 is in the shipping process now to my local dealer in GA. Really trying to decide if I should order through Mark Dodge now. I'm seeing the 11% off MSRP. My dealer told me the best they could do was about $3600 off MSRP ($1k incentive, $500 military, not sure on the rest).

Should I just cancel and reorder? I'm trading in my 2022 3500 DRW, and both my name and wife's name is on the truck. Just had a baby, so I doubt I could get her to drive to do the deal.

But the thought of another $10k off has me really questioning.
Mine was 11k off. That was after the EP pricing and 4k in rebates. The sales lady told me the rebates may change by the time the truck arrives, so we'll see. Mark Dodge gave me a very similar price, but they played with the way they called the discount. They called it "dealer discount" when in reality it was a rebate. I considered going with them, but after seeing the 2 prices were similar and it would cost at least $1300 to ship to Michigan (or more to drive and get it). I decided to go more local to me, in case of an issue.

Something that popped up when I ordered mine was "snow plow prep group". The computer told her that certain configurations that group was mandatory. I don't remember if it was all HD's, or just 3500's or Hemi's, etc. But what I'm curious to know is what is in that package? I ordered a hemi with the 2.4Kw pack that includes dual alternators and I also got the block heater and skid plates. So what else could it include? Pretty sure it does not include the rood lights like the outgoing "Snow Chief package".

When I try tracking, all I have been getting for the past 10 days or so is TBD. All my dealer is telling me is the truck has been shipped and there is no telling how long it will take to get hee.
My truck is KZ OB status. I also have my window sticker, so not sure what that means.

Found this long list of status codes:

Scheduled:
C – Tentative schedule. Your order is "sub firm". The plant can see the order at this point but it's not fully committed to building as the supplier may or may not be able to get parts to the plant to build the vehicle.
D – Firm schedule: serial number assigned. Firm order. Your order now has a name instead of a number:
D1 – Gate line: unit sequenced for production, est. ship date assigned.
The date is set for your truck to be built. The plant knows when it should have parts sequenced for building and it should start to be built within 48 hours of the date set.
D2 - It's going to be built. The computers are being programmed, materials are being sequenced, framing is about to occur.

Build:
E – Framing. Metal is welded together to form the body and frame. The body is inspected at the end of this step to ensure it's within tolerances.
F – Paint. The metal is coated, primed, sprayed, clear coated, polished, inspected, and hand finished if necessary.
G – Trim. The engine is installed in the chassis, the interior is installed, the chassis is mated to the body, the bed is put on. At the end of this, your new vehicle is built.

Built:
I – unit built, pending final inspection. Your vehicle goes through a battery of shakedown tests and measurements are taken to ensure the vehicle looks and performs as expected.
J – Vehicle passed final inspection but not released to carrier
Get your Build Sheet here: https://fcacommunity.force.com/RAM/s/equipment-listing?
(Build sheet input is CASE SENSITIVE)?
JB – shipped to body vendor. JB/KZP-The vehicle is sent off site to have a spray liner put in, steps, etc.
JE – shipped to emissions
JJ – consigned to body vendor
JS – shipped to storage
KZ – released by plant and invoiced. The truck is ready to be shipped. The dealer is actually charged for the truck. As you all know, this can be a source of delay. Typically you see two statuses here: Awaiting Shipment and "Staged for Shipment".

You can get your (Monroney) window sticker here (add your VIN to the end) once it's KZ-L or KZ-M: https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=

After reading some of the comments and the wait for some of these trucks I think I will just sit back and wait to see what comes on some dealers' lots in about a 500-mile area before I decide to order. Even if I need to take something extra, I really do not want, would be better than waiting for our truck order.

@MadMedic117 was told once ordered there is no changing anything without canceling it and starting over
Got word. Unable to change color. But they would be able to cancel the order since it was still in the confirmed stage and resubmit in the other color. I told them that was fine. Then the manager opted to keep my original order on the way since he liked the build and thought it would sell fast.

Just an update on my situation. My truck is tore apart at the dealer getting just about all the plastic trim pieces replaced. One of the led taillights was also not working. That was ordered but is on back order with no ETA so the dealer is unable to sell the truck even after they fix everything else until that taillight comes in.

My replacement truck has been expedited. It has an ETA to the dealer of 5/22 and just shipped this week. Hopefully this one arrives in saleable condition.

There are a few theories as to why the interior was so trashed but we don’t need to get into those :D

I would be entertained by your theories

For the guys that have taken delivery of their 3500’s…..is anybody experiencing issues with the trailering 7 pin connector?

My trailer lights and the trailer brakes won’t activate. Trailer is a 2024 Jayco travel trailer

I put my order in at the end of march, 3500 SRW Limited. Been at scheduled status since first of April. Reached out to the dealer and he found out that the 2.5KW Power Supply was the hold up, it is not available yet. He is trying to find out when they anticipate it being ready. Depending on when they switch to the 2026 Model year it may be a 2026 truck. They have given me the option of removing it and the truck will go into normal production schedule, but this is something I want on the truck.

Anyone on here have any information on when the 2.5KW Power Supply will be available on the trucks?

It's a horrible option for a diesel (not sure what yours is). Assuming the Hemi has MDS, idling is also horrible. Idling is the worst thing you can do for your emissions equipment assuming you'll be keeping it intact for a while. You're so much better off getting a standalone genny if you really need one. 2400 KW isn't even that much. You can spend $600 at harbor freight and get 2-3x the output and not have to worry about racking up a $10,000+ repair bill for engine/emissions repairs. Just my 2 cents. FWIW, we have the vehicle genny in a different truck and always end up using a standalone instead of the pickup anyway.

Holy crap what !? They never mentioned a word to me today. We were on phone for probably closer to 2 hours. I had asked previously when 26 year will open up since 24 & 25 are so messed up. For vehicle tax purposes, you get a perk getting the 25. For options though, I wonder if 26 will offer all the things 25's were lacking, like Rear Air on Tradesman/Big Horn? Guess 26 orders won't open till maybe July/August though, yea? Isn't a 2 month gap usually the norm between year models? Man my head is spinning after today...

I have not experienced any issues yet with the 7 pin. I use the one in the bed for my gooseneck stock trailer. Probably hooked and towed half a dozen times since Easter when I got my truck.

I wonder if closing orders already is a reaction to tariffs. Either way, glad I got my order in this week
