Great trucks, I ordered the 2021 in my avatar and bought the unseen 2024 off a dealer lot. The 2024 replaces my 2020 Gladiator which was never enough truck for long duration trips, nor did it ever have the power to pull my 3000lb trailer.
The PW equipment package is high value in my opinion. If you don't need or want the prostate massager and hair gel dispenser found in the PW trim level the Tradesman is the way to go. The "overlanding" thing seems to be dying off at a fair pace so maybe you can get some discounted gear. The used market for roof top tents and such is well populated. If you haven't been to one of the Overland Expos (I like Flagstaff) I recommend doing so, they're a great time.
