2023 6.4 hemi tranny rear seal leak

Update brought to the dealer and they were notified from Chrysler about the issue I just got a email saying the new transfer case and drive shaft are in that's the fix seems a little extreme might be more going on there then just a unlubricated seal?

Obviously, please keep us posted on this as it does sound somewhat extreme for just a seal leak....unless, as you say, something more is going on.
FWIW, mine stopped, and so far, it's been fine.
Thanks,
LJ

Could have been scoring on the slip yoke on the drive shaft and the t case having metal in it?

When they do the work ask why so we know I am curious lol

The factory wants them to cut the drive shaft off and leave it attached so they can figure out what's going on no telling if a new one is gonna be any better if there just looking to get one intact to figure the problem out now.Wll be Watching the new seal like a hawk for sure.

Any update for this thread?
Beedle, did they cut the driveshaft off end send that whole assembly in for analysis?

Any updates on this subject? Crazy to hear they wanted the drive shaft cut and sent in with T-case to be looked at. Mine started to have some leak around 2500 miles. Took it to the dealer they left me with little confidence saying no leaks were found after I had to convince them to take the truck back to the shop. So sadly I had to ask did you look under the truck!? I had the service advisor look under the truck with me to show him all the fluid underneath. He was dumbfounded. I'll probably replace the seal myself sadly since the dealer is incompetent unless this is a bigger issue than just a seal replacement.

I had seepage in that area and noticed it at a 5K oil change. Mine appeared to stop seeping on it's own as I'm now pushing almost 20K miles and still dry.
However, I was ready to drop the shaft and change the seal myself if need be....so far, I'm still good.
It would be nice to know what the factory was thinking on the cause of it though.

I think I may do the same clean it all off first and then if it continues go back to the dealer. Sadly my dealer doesn't appear to be the greatest.
