Hey everyone, new to the forum. I bought OEM bed lights for my 2019 Ram 2500 Laramie. Followed the instructions running the wires and connecting to the BCM. Instructions say plug DG/WT wire into C6 pin#26 (which has no wire but also has no male prong on the BCM when I pull the connector), and C1 pin#5 which has an existing tan wire with orange tracer. After days of research I can’t find anythingsaying different, so I went ahead and and plugged the DG/WT in C6 pin#26 and spliced the second wire to C1 pin#5. Well as long as the truck is on the lights are on and when the truck is off they turn off. Neither of the switches, the bed switch and cargo lamp button affect the bed lights. They just stay on.

Saying all that, I know the pins used are wrong. Does anyone have info on the correct pins to use?

Got the wiring diagram from the dealer today and looks like the 2018 C6 pin 26 (Cargo lamp switch signal on circuit L26) is the equivalent to my 2019’s C7 pin 16. And then the 2018 C1 pin 5 (Cargo lamp driver on circuit L19) is the equivalent to my 2019’s C3 pin 17. Can anyone look at the snapshots of the wiring attached and confirm that I’m not just looking at this completely wrong?

According to ram none of the 19s have a wire kit that you can buy available what I did on mine was I used the 18 kit 82215795 EB I believe is the number and I wired directly I follow the instructions as far as I could it have been to wiring and then one of the wires that one of the guys had was correct and the other one I found in the kick panel and I wrote a full story on it those harnesses in the

Those harnesses in the back maybe for the bed light kit I know that the kit you buy has two wires going to each light one on the right And one on the left and it has four wires it goes to the actual on off switch but the plug is a square plug so it may be the same I don’t know. The only way to test it would be to try it and see but you would have to take it to the dealer and have them input the sales code for the bed light kit. the way that I did mine you don’t have to take it to the dealer to have the bed light kit sales code put on which costs money. The way i did mine is free and works 100%

What is the charge to add a sales code? Anyone know? And when does a sales code usually need to be added?

I thought they are for the bed light, but the position is in the center of tail. Test with tester, the + and - is come from battery directly and always with voltage. The other pins, never come with a voltage.

FCA is so disgusts to make it hard to add some features.

From what the fca accessories tech told me on the phone the 19 is completely all new wiring system. Everything is ground triggered to turn on a hot relay for power controlled by the modules. They wont be giving consumers any more help and the want all accessories installed by the dealer. My guess is their getting money hungry.

Its sickening to me what they are turning into. The dealer that i personally deal with for my last 5 trucks (i trade every other yr for tax purposes) their attitude in the service dept has changed so much that i refuse to go back in there. It was never really friendly but now its just horrible. They are the ones who gave me the part number to buy the light kit and come to find out a light kit is not available for the 19 2500s as its still in r&d testing. Again according to fca accessories tech

I've started playing with it, but when i ordered my truck i didn't leave too many boxes unchecked, so there isn't much available for me to "turn on". I did add fog lights on with high beams. I will try to remember to look and see if the bed lights is an option i can turn on or off with AlfaOBD.

Bed lights is an option available to turn on and off with AlfaOBD on my truck. On my truck, it is turned "On" from the factory and I have the bed lights factory installed.

Why have I seen 2019 ram 2500 on the lot with cargo/bed lights installed but the dealer tells me that they can’t get them. I made them put it in writing that they owe them to me
