@590 miles, making adjustments on wdh. Hoping that I can reuse my old shank. Very short run, 20 miles, nothing over 50mph. May need to take it to the scales to see if I need to add another washer for the wdh...

Looks close, maybe a tad low in back. Forget the scales and just do the adjustment using the measurement procedure provided by the manufacturer.

Mine has auto level, so the truck takes care of any slight level discrepancy. We took our first long trip this summer and it was a pleasure to pull our 34' tt.

Coils are a bit soft compared to the SuperDuty. We have a 600 mile trip coming up in early October, may think about airlift bags. These mini/micro lites are tongue heavy for their size.

Thank you! My beloved ‘14 1500 served us well (8 years and 134k miles) but we needed a little more payload cuz dangg these Micro lites are a little heavy on the tongue!!!!! Traded her in on 8/11, patiently waiting “any day now” for my new rig.

We first towed our Flagstaff with a 1500 5.7/3.92. The 5.7 is an awesome engine.

I couldn’t agree more, had the same set up 5.7/3.92’s. Even with the 4” lift and 35’s it did well, unfortunately the chassis was just a little overwhelmed. Somehow my truck picked up some weight, with just me in it and a full tank of fuel she weighed in @ 6,400 lbs! Add the wife and 3 kids and we maxed her out at 6,800 lbs so you can imagine what weight we were at with the camper attached.

We actually bought the Flagstaff to match the 1500. The tongue weight on these things are heavy. We were maxed out on payload so traded it in on a F250.

Easy to do. I feel like anything you get just isn't quite the same as home and we all try to make them that - our house on wheels! Our next unit will likely be a 5'er but that will require something other than the Hemi as a puller. We have a lot of fun camping and always look forward to our next outing.

There's quite a few on here that pull 5'ers with the Hemi, it just depends on what you're doing and where you're going. For the majority of trips that I do, it would be fine. I surmise in a few years we will get one and then maybe a couple years later I will go dually diesel. Lots of conversations and good times to be had before then though so we'll see what takes priority...space or ease of towing and parking.

I’ve been saying the same thing about a new boat but lately I am resigned to the idea that with inflation what it is the high prices are here to stay.

Also have the 25BRDS, towing with a 2.7 ecoboost f150 right now. Once the new 3500 comes in, going to see what I can get for trade in.

Prices are high, but that also means good trade in values

Were going the other direction. Going back to a Truck camper. Now we have a 2012 Heartland Land Mark Key Largo. Lots of room, but also tough to get off the beaten path with. So when the new 3500 DRW gets built. Guess we will start looking for a Host double or Triple slide truck camper. Sure going to be tough going from 41ft to 20ft total length. But we don't need the 3 TVs, King bed, Fire place, Washer and dryer, auto track sat dish and big Generator.

That was a 1995 Kenworth T600. Sold it Sat, wish I still had it. But looking forward to the new Ram 3500 DRW when it gets built. All parts are there and in D1 now. Thanks the Landmark is for sure nice. Wife had a fit and wanted all the comforts of home. So we sold the Truck camper in 2012. Got that 5th wheel.
Now ready to go back to a Truck Camper and take the boat along. Were both retired and just enjoy ourself. Fish the days we want to fish. Plan to spend 3 or 4 months at a time visiting places off the beaten path starting next year.

Dry hitchweight of 700 lbs is not heavy and have no need for bags at that weight especially with a WDH….. for comparison here is my 19 2500 cummins with 1625lbs tongue weight with no WDH and just the stock springs….. you may want to try towing it with out a WDH i find most tow nicer without one personally
