Hello all,

New member here. I live in the Phoenix area, but I'm away most of the year for work. My hobbies, and a majority of friends, are mainly focused around wrenching on Jeeps and days on the trails in them.
This year a bunch of friends and I stayed in Moab, UT for a week during the Easter Jeep Safari event they have there. It was a blast. I borrowed my father's '04 Chevy 3500 and towed a 38' lowboy gooseneck trailer and put mine and a friends Jeep on it for the trip. It did okay, but it fueled something in me to get myself a HD truck. Stopped in to a local dealer just to "look" and drove away in a 2019 2500 Ram Crew Cab short bed Laramie with the 6.7 Cummins.

Some highlights:
Exterior Color: Diamond Black Crystal Pearl
Interior: Black
Powertrain: 6.7 Cummins / 6-Speed auto transmission
Optional equipment:
Leather Seats
Towing Technology Group: Center high camera / Surround-View Camera
Transfer Case Skid Plate
Cold Weather Group: Engine Block Heater / Winter Grille Cover
5th Wheel / Gooseneck Tow Prep
Black Appearance Package w/ 20" wheels
Laramie Level 1 Equipment Group
LED Bed Lighting
Connect 4C NAV w' 12" Display
MOPAR Running Boards - Dealer Installed.

Modifications so far:
1. Spray-In bed liner (Rhino Liner) from a local shop.
2. In-Process at a professional detail shop getting the following done:
Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating (entire truck, wheels, and undercarriage)
XPel Ultimate PPF (Clear Bra on front of truck including entire surface of the hood)
ExoShield and ceramic coat to the windshield
Ceramic window tint (50% windshield, 15% side and rear windows)

I look forward to visiting the site often learning about the truck, towing capabilities, and what accessories people are using and where to get them.
I only got to put 1500 miles on the trip during this trip home, so I only have the delivery pics to share, but I'll update as pictures come in from the detail shop.

How much is the PPF costing you? I am considering getting my front bumper done when I receive my truck but I am getting quotes of 500 just for the front bumper... seems high.

I'm having the entire front (minus the gills,) hood and fenders for $1900. They have to remove the grill, headlights, emblems, etc off the truck and then put it all back together.

A friend of mine has a 10yr old Audi R8 in a similar color (Phantom Black) and I saw it before and after. It looks incredible. Which is what convinced me to do the paint correction and ceramic coating. I wasn't originally going to do the PPF, but the second week I had the truck I took a day-trip to Vegas and got a chip in my windshield. I felt it was a sign to add the PPF.

Great looking truck......something about Jeeps and trucks at my house too.

My current "girly man" Jeep:

I think it's my 12th one.

Pickups and Jeeps can be a sickness!

I am local here in Phoenix/east valley and wanted to see if your comfortable saying how much it cost to get those detail items done? I am currently in talks with a local detailer to get ceramic coating, tint windshield, darker window tint around the side/back windows, and a clear bra on the front end to help avoid rock chips. They quoted me about 4500 dollars and wondering if your shop was close to that.

Just an update.

The Detail Shop I had my truck at turned out to be a nightmare experience. They told me my truck was complete back in September (see pics above) and I've thought this whole time that the truck has been safe in sound in their shop. Not the case, but through UConnect and some vehicle recovery techniques (I have basic repo experience,) I was able to uncover and prove that my truck was being used to tow other customers around the Phoenix area and has made recent trips to Tucson and Gilla Bend. Well outside the agreement we had, and a completely unprofessional manner to treat a customer's property. The truck now has 2700 miles on it, 370 miles on the towing odometer. Such a shame.

I never mentioned the name in here, and I definitely won't be. I have been refunded in full, the truck taken away from them, and the PPF and ceramic coat redone shortly elsewhere.

Wow, I'd be furious if that was my truck. Good grief. Personally, I wouldn't let the detailer touch my truck ever again.

Great looking truck! I live in the east valley, any concern with the film holding up over time with our sun and heat? I'm very interested in doing this as well when I finally pull the trigger on a truck.

Thanks!

Yes, the PPF and ceramic coating has definite benefits, especially in our climate. Not only does it seal and protect what's there, its also easy to keep clean.

Sorry that the dealer was a butt head. I'm not sure how I would have handled this situation. You obviously took the high road.

We purchased a new travel trailer (TT) February 2019 due to UV damage on previous TT. Dealer had a connection with Bob Moses Ceramic Coatings of Phoenix. Really glad that we had the ceramic coating on the new TT. It cleans so easy, surface feels like I just waxed it, and looks great. The new RAM 2500 is already scheduled with Bob Moses to be coated. (BTW - I took advantage of the Black Friday special of $1,100 for cars/trucks. Not sure what the regular price would be. The TT dealer wanted $2,450 for ceramic, but made the purchase deal for $1,000. That dealer now does their own ceramic coating, but based on our TT service experience, I would/did stick with Bob Moses.)

Unfortunately, I'm far away in the "sandbox" until April. Not really much I can do that doesn't involve a lot of grief, while I need to be focused here. Whats best for me was getting my truck out of their hands, 100% refund, and lining up an appointment for a reputable shop that will document its current condition and do/redo what Ive wanted done.
