2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Good afternoon,

I’m looking to see who may be using ffp and/or penfed with their order? I ordered blind with no pricing, they built a 2021 order and told me 3-5% increase estimate for 2022 and they would discount 1500 off msrp.( I didn’t tell them I had FFP at the time). So I got an email with updated pricing 64,090(see below). Based off another build sheet from another dealer I’m estimating FFP to be a 6.8% off msrp.

First has anyone ran into any issues using FFP or penfed due to the major car market changes over the past year? Should I be telling them ahead of time or just show up with the paperwork for ffp and penfed when I pick up?

I was under the impression with things such as the penfed rebate, you could apply that once your at the dealership ready to sign. I dont think the penfed rebate affects their income? Correct me if I'm wrong please.

Wondering if Mark Dodge's price would be the same if they know I'm paying cash? Some dealers won't give you as good a price if they know, because they are not making money from you with a loan. I see that to order, they want a "screenshot of your current credit score or other proof of financial capabilities (so we do not have to run a credit check this early in the process)". I put a credit freeze on my information with all 3 major credit reporting agencies. I did this to prevent identity theft and to prevent anyone from obtaining any credit in my name. If everyone did this, it would virtually eliminate identity theft. Because of this if anyone runs a credit check on me, the credit reporting agencies will not give any information. This prevents any new credit from being approved. Has anyone paid cash at Mark Dodge and gotten the same price? How do I meet this requirement without lifting my credit freeze, which I don't want to do? I don't want to ask Mark Dodge at this point because I'm afraid they may not give me as good a price if they know I'm paying cash. Also, how do they handle cash transactions? Will they take a personal check or do I need to get a cashier's check before I fly out there to pick it up? Do they try to add on additional fees when you get there?

So for proof of credit, I just sent a screen shot from Credit Karma. After paying the $1000 dollar deposit I asked Sandi to be sure I could put more down at the time of delivery and not have to finance the entire remaining balance. Her response was that I absolutely could and if I wanted to I could bring a duffel bag full of cash for the entire remaining balance at time of delivery lol. It won’t change the Mark Dodge price, they are very up front about everything and haven’t played any games with me. As far as preferred methods of paying when you pick up, just ask Sandi. I am sure she will happily provide whatever details you need.

Yea I also ordered from Sandi, and mentioned that I would be using my credit Union’s financing and she said it wouldn’t be a problem.

My '22 deal was a handshake here in Vegas. No deposit and no credit check.

Like others have already said, at mark dodge the price is the price. No games. Sandi even let me know if I wanted to come all the way there we would ha e everything done online ahead of time and there would be no “up selling” in the finance department.
I also just sent a screenshot from credit karma and a screen shot of my bank account showing I can pay for the truck.

Same as other replies. After I received a price I asked her about outside financing and it was no issue. I could source my own, pay cash, they would handle out of state TT&L and allow me to take delivery of my Chassis Cab without a bed (as is) with no problem. With other's that was an issue as they needed a bed on it to deliver. Every process was not going to be an issue. Best initial start of the buying process I have ever gone through. No haggle, no hassle no problem.

5th wheel prep - I have bumper pull TT and Jeep hauler, though. Rare chance I would tow a gooseneck with 2 Jeeps..
Power steps -they come down low for vertically challenged wife and kids
Trailer TPMS
Air suspension
Block heater - for those few nights in TX that are "cold" or freak week long winter storm
8.4 w/NAV

Absolutely positively will not get clearance lamps. If a truck was optioned perfectly as I wanted but had the lamps, I'd pass on it and wait.

Something I wish I could delete is the rear sliding window w/ defroster. I like a perfectly unobstructed back window like I have in my 2006 SLT MC. There's already 3 big headrests in the way, the slider adds two more blockages and the defroster is a mess at night, IMO. I'll look into what it will take to remove the slider glass and replace with plain glass from a Tradesman. Yeah probably overpriced for such a minor change but it's a big annoyance in a nearly $80k truck that I'd rather not have. And for those that will reply Digital Rear View Mirror, I have to use readers to see anything just beyond arms length clearly and the digital rear view mirror is in that range, unfortunately. Test drove one and was not a fan.
Hey Doug. Where did you order from? I’m looking to place an order in the Austin area and would appreciate a recommendation as I’m new to the are. Thanks!

I just sent Sandi a Proof of Funds letter from my bank on their letterhead.

Gone back and forth between Dodge and Chevy for years with a few Fords in there. Was a couple thousand miles from home with the 5th wheel last week and the EGR failed in my 2019 Duramax 3500 High Country with 35k miles. I got it back home yesterday and ordered a Ram 3500 High output well equipped 2022 today. Think I'm going to miss the acceleration of the Chevy but I was irritated and they gave me 6 grand more on trade then I paid for it new 2 years ago. I'm exited for the integrated tire pressure system for my camper. I'm also looking forward to the digital mirror with camera for the back of the camper I ordered. I hope someone posts about that right away when they get it hooked up. I was told to expect my truck in 10 weeks. Was given 72 months at 2.9 interest. Bought a silver 6.4 box with night package.

They don’t start building for another 4 1/2 weeks.

I hope for all of us that he’s right.
Duramax is fixed under warranty next Tuesday. I just have to keep the shinny side up for a few months. This last year has been all about patience. I'm with you though. It is getting old. It's just another truck. There will be more after that. I'm not even going to worry about it. One day we will get the phone call that it's here.

I’m selling my Chevy to carmax either next weekend or 2 weeks after that. Was supposed to do it a few weeks ago and put it off cause of camping trips. Still going to end up having to haul our camper a couple times with my wife’s Yukon either way, so might as well give the truck up before the price goes down.

Good plan. I have camp trips planned but need the truck. I'm a little long with a 37ft 5th wheel and a Jeep CJ7 behind it.
