I've been working with Benjamin Lilly and have no complaints everything has been moving smoothly. Truck should be there in a couple of weeksAny particular salesman or manager to deal with at Dennis Dillon?
My Ram is suppose to arrive at the distribution center on June 1st, and then a few days, it will be at the dealership. (really fast considering my order was placed on 04-23. I’m in San Diego, and found three dealerships in CA that would honor a FCA Affiliate pricing and or that would negotiate. San Diego CDJR, Orange Coast CDJR in Costa Mesa and Red Bluff CDJR in Northern CA. I ended up at Orange Coast CDJR. Which dealership did you place your order from?So I talked to the finance guy at the dealership I ordered from yesterday trying to finalize things. Even though the market is crazy and now the owner of this dealership has decided to sell at MSRP +, they are still honoring my Invoice price we agreed on. Truck should arrive on the 9th or 10th. Working with him so that all I do is show up, sign a few papers and drive away. Simple and easy.
1. Taxes and registration in Calif are HIGH! There are so many "extras" the DMV add on a new registration that its not even funny. I thought his numbers were off till I checked on the DMV site. $1000 just for registration.
2. He thinks he can get me a better APR on the loan. I have 3.49% for 84 months from my credit union. Only issue is my CU includes GAP insurance where as his banks do not, you have to pay extra for it.
3. I talked to him about my 3 true car incentives. It will take the $1000 one I have, but then grays out the $500 military one I have. And he's not sure how to put in the other $500 one I have. So I emailed him all 3 and he's going to work on it.
If anyone has any experience in getting more than one true car incentive to go thru, please pass it on.
Thanks.
AFAIK, there is only one user here who's gotten multiple TDM (truecar falls into this category) incentives applied. So I talked to the finance guy at the dealership I ordered from yesterday trying to finalize things. I wound up a Shaver CJDR in 1000 oaks. I live just over the hill from them in ventura. I stopped in on a whim to see what they would offer. Told the sales manager I paid $500 over invoice on my last two trucks. He came back and said how about $750 over invoice. So I ordered mine. I think my order finally went in on 04/21.My Ram is suppose to arrive at the distribution center on June 1st, and then a few days, it will be at the dealership. Check 5thgenrams.comAnyone willing to share the pre-acceptance checklist they'd used when picking up the ordered truck? A search hasn't come up with a comprehensive list.
I can also recommend Benjamin Lilly like anderson36 did as he was my salesman for my first truck and did a great job. Benjamin's number is 512-800-4069 and Gunnar's is 206-235-9138 and email [email protected]Have an email or cell for them? I like how bud clary website list all that for each person.
I’m retiring on June 3rd from USAA and buying my Dream truck (been driving company cars). Ordered a 2021 Ram 2500 limited night edition in granite crystal w rear air suspension.. FYI. On your next truck (RAM?) join https://treadlightly.org/ For a $100. After 30 days you will become eligible for the FCA Affiliate Program (1% below Dealer invoice…about $7k in my instance) plus any incentives and rebates apply at the time of pick up. You can check out https://www.fcausaffiliates.com/ As mentioned, I looked up dealerships in CA, AZ and ID in the FCA Affiliate site which you can do once a member to see which dealerships are using the program. Only found 3 that had a good volume. Asked other dealers who had what I wanted in stock, but they wouldn’t honor the pricing, hence the order. Any case maybe something for the future…. Enjoy your ride brother!
That’s great. Crazy times were in,…I can also recommend Benjamin Lilly like anderson36 did as he was my salesman for my first truck and did a great job. Benjamin's number is 512-800-4069 and Gunnar's is 206-235-9138 and email [email protected]
that’s great. Crazy what’s going on right now w most dealers asking above MSRP…. Glad we both got what wanted and ordered when we did then looking for one now…. Stay safe! Very crazy times in all aspects!Yea I shopped around as well. Ad a dealer up in Auburn, Ca, just outside of Sacramento who would do MSRP on a TRX. Just couldn't see paying that much. Then I found the Power Wagon and it better fit my off road needs. Was looking in Washington and Idaho along with a few other places before I drove over the hill to Shaver. Got the best deal from them with no haggling or needing to threaten to go somewhere else or use stuff like tread lightly. I'm happy with what I got and ordered the truck the way I wanted it.
Enjoy the retirement.
So there it is! Sitting at the dealer. Can’t wait to pick it up this weekend or next week. Working with Riley now at bud Clary and he’s been good with answering questions and assures me the deal I had set with Phillip will be honored. So should be a smooth process.
Riley is a good dude. He scooped me from the airport and did all my work. Not much I could complain about in regards to him.
