2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

Guys who are receiving your trucks in the past couple weeks are you getting 2 key FOBs or is there only 1 ?? Really need 2 and my truck should be coming in a week or two...
Thanks !!
2 Fobs and the 2 key's for the Ram Boxes. As I said in a previous post, You Can go online and buy a remote under $100. Even if you get 2 it's not a bad idea to have that spare just in case.

:)YEA!!!!!!!! It made it with enough prep time before our cross-country camping trip!!!!!
Sure looks like things are picking up. I was worried in the beginning that this was going to be a 16+ week process.

POC Order date of 4/20 and spoke with the dealer Saturday and it was in "D" status as of 4/23.

Very frustrating and disappointing end for me as I made the hard decision today to cancel my order. I've been in D1 since Feb 18 and even though "all the parts for your build have been collected", the estimate ship date slipped another 2 weeks. That date has slipped 4 or 5 times now so I have little confidence that even the 5/14 will hold. Plus the weeks in transit would put me at a early or mid-June delivery at the soonest. I have some travel/towing planned around that time that I really need the HD for, so now I will look for used to tide me over until I reevaluate once the 2022s are announced and hopefully supply chains catch up some.

Good luck to everyone waiting, and to those who have taken delivery know that I still check out every HD that I see out. The search goes on but hopefully I return......

Interesting. I wonder what the deal is with your truck. Maybe the chip shortage is weighing heavily on your build since it appears to be pretty optioned up? IDK.. sorry this happened to you.

I ordered 2/2. I feel same as you. But then I build a truck on GMC and see the old looking interior, no reclining rear seats, giant chrome grill, they force the sunroof on you on higher trim packages... ugh.

and then Ford just looks cheap. They all look like a base model no matter how much you spend. The new 2022 interior is an improvement and I do like you can get the off road tremor on a 350 (there is no off road 3500). I suppose if the 2022 interior was avail now, it might be an option.

anyway my point is I come right back to Ram and keep waiting.

what will you buy instead?

Order: 1/11/2021. 15 weeks now.
3500 HO CCSH fully loaded, night package, pearl white, tonneau cover.

Ram Care this morning:
"I apologize the order has not progressed from its previous status. It is still pending installation of additional equipment. I have not receive any information as of yet as to what features are still pending to be installed. As soon as I receive any information I will let you know"

Getting pretty sick of this waiting game.

I was in your same boat until about 1.5 weeks ago and I ordered on 1/4. So yours should be on it's way soon.

I am loyal to Ram over GM/Ford so it's not a question of Ram vs. others. For now I am scouring what's available on dealer lots (not much, especially at or below invoice pricing). Another option is to trade my 2014 1500 Limited straight up or plus some cash for a similar year 2500 or 3500 to hold me over. This chip shortage is certainly going to impact 2022s as well, so I realize that by giving up my 2021 it's not really helping me out too much, but I don't really have another option at the moment, I need to move on something.

RAM Chat told me today that "The Ram is moving through the build process and it's in the trim phase at this time." Obviously won't hit that new ship date I received last week, but exciting progress nonetheless. Still no buildsheet that I can find online. Will ping the dealer on Thursday for any updates he may have.

Not too bad for 21 days since I ordered, 4/5, I'd say.
Build sheet just found by Cryptostickers.

This is the only good news I have recieved in 15 weeks.
Is yours being shipped? What truck did you order?
Mine is currently in the "shipment process" according to FCA Customer Care and is expected at the local rail yard by 5/2. It did get stuck for 7 weeks waiting for a chip for the Blind Spot Detection. My order is:

On Order 1/04/2021: 2021 3500 Laramie Lvl 2 Crew Cab 4x4 - 6.7L HO CTD w/Aisin Trans
Granite Crystal - Night Edition - Air Suspension - 5th Wheel Prep - Trailer Cam - Spray in bedliner - 12" Display
Build Sheet: 2/18 Factory Ship Date: 2/24 Window Sticker: 4/16

I finally have a build put together and thought I would run it past you guys before I proceed to see if I left anything off. I am going with a Hemi because I won't be towing anything huge, but will likely get a travel trailer in the high 20' up to 30' range in the near future and want to be set with a truck that will last me many years. This also will not be a daily driver so it will not get a lot of use except for going on trips, likely averaging only around 5k-7k miles per year so hope to keep it at least 10-15 years. That is also why I went with the 4.10 since people in the forums seem to say you can't go wrong with it, I probably won't miss out on MPG that much since I won't be using it that much. I left off all of the safety stuff because that may lead to more delays and none of my vehicles have it now so I probably won't miss it. I did add the Tech Package though because I think I really like that 12 inch screen the more that I see it and like the LED lights as well. Let me know if you recommend any other options that you find useful that I may have left off.

2500 Big Horn Crew Cab 6'4" Box
6.4L Hemi
Anti-spin differential
4.10 Axle ratio
Off road package
Decal delete
Bed utility group
Night edition
Big Horn Level B Equipment Group
Night Edition
Tech Package
Black painted wheel to wheel side steps
Rear wheelhouse liners
Mopar floor mats

MSRP $60,750

It looks like you put together a great combination. My neighbor tows a 35'+ travel trailer weighing about 10k lbs with his Ram HD hemi and sings praises. He came from a light duty diesel truck too.

I would suggest the Alpine audio upgrade because it is cost effective if you care about that stuff, and the roof marker lights. The 1500's and 2500's almost look the same now, the marker lights are a nice way to differentiate them and gives the truck that touch of 'manliness' in my opinion.

Yes, the Alpine audio is part of the Tech Group. Good to hear that truck pulls a 35' trailer well since I never expect to go that big, it should pull anything I get pretty easily. Does your neighbor have the 4.10 axle as well?

I believe so. 4:10s are the way to go with the 8 speed transmission in my opinion.

I would add the BSM.

I would add the BSM.
I don't know if that is an option. It is not in the package. I suppose I could see if I could add it but if it is going to delay it by several months, I don't know. Did you get it on your order? I see it you have the Level B groups which don't have it, so did you add it on separately?

I did not add it separately, but I would have if my dealer would have told me I could. I will be adding it myself when I get the truck. I believe you can order it by itself, as it was removed from the packages.

I ordered from them on 16 April. I received my PO from them the following Tuesday. Did it all via email and phone.
Who was your Sales person? Mine said he does not know what a PO number is. Says they get nothing until the truck is built and they get an invoice from RAM.
