New to the forum, and this is my first post! Thank you all for the thread. It’s been helpful to see what others are going through, and I finally thought I’d toss in my experience. Hopefully this isn't too long - I just figured I'd get it all out up front.
TLDR; I ordered with BSM on 3/16, and the truck was built in about 4 weeks (but it’s still on the train, headed to MN).
After verbal confirmation of order in March, and before the order was fully placed, the dealer noticed that the BSM had been removed from Safety Group B and/or Laramie Level 2 (before it was B). I had them add BSM back in. After I ordered I found this thread, and thought I was doomed. However, build progress has been good compared to what I expected.
There may be another possibility for delays in other orders with BSM. Laramie Level 2 Equipment group included “Blind-Spot with
Tag Trailer & Cross-Path Detection”. On my build sheet the XAN option just says “Blind Spot and Cross Path Detection”. But I just checked now and the website has "tag trailer" in that option... so who knows. My dealer has not been able to determine if the tag trailer blind spot was removed or not as a feature. We’ll know for sure in a couple weeks hopefully.
$1100 under invoice (FWP), or about $6000 under MSRP.

I plan to do a pseudo-Night Edition, since it isn’t available in Olive Green. This will be a work in progress.
- Swap out night edition grill
- Swap chrome grill surround with body color matched parts
- Vinyl wrap chrome mirrors to black
- De-badge most chrome emblems instead of replacing them
- Swap 2500 emblems and rear RAM emblem to night edition
- Powder coat the wheels (some day)
- Swap to night-edition head and tail lights (some day)
Coming from a 2018 RAM 1500 Big Horn. Primary reason for upgrade is payload capacity. I have a Travel Trailer. Might go to a 1/2 ton towable 5th Wheel down the road - which is better suited for a 3/4 ton.
