What did you do TO your RAM today?

Did an interior LED swap.. what a difference like night and day. I can finally see! Not sure why this doesn’t come standard on a 70k truck. Also got the license plate bulb, but they are already LED and seem to be a single unit.. not sure if it’s even worth upgrading them but they are not very bright.. anyone have any info?

Had a Steelcraft Elevation front bumper installed. The original sensors, fog lights, and tow hooks are compatible with it. The bumper is heavy. Around 350 lbs.

Glad to see another member with a SteelCraft product. I've had my SC brush guard since last fall and I think it's great! Seeing your bumper kind of makes me wish I'd gone this route though.

Also, glad to see another Texan!

Ordered set of Amp powered running boards, set of DuraFlap’s, and torklift tie downs for truck arriving next month

Finally got to tow with the new truck, picked up my RV Trailer from storage (Grand Design 2800BH). Was cool to see the trailer blind spot feature functioning, it properly indicated the trailer was 9 meters long (28 feet) on the dash.

Something did go wrong hooking up the weight distribution bars though, the fuse for the tonque jack absolutely melted (I mean the entire plastic fuse case wow, didn't just blow the fuse). I suspect the factory Air Suspension fought against the jack when it was raising the rear of the truck to install the bars.

When I got it home, it put the suspension into "tire change mode" which disables it and didn't seem to have any problems. Will have to do some reading on this.

The "Alt Trailer Height" feature is useless, it was supposed to let let me lower the height to make it easier to hitch up... however it won't activate since there is no weight on the rear (no cargo). Might be able to use it for disconnecting, will have to play.

----

The "zoom in" feature on the tailgate camera for hitching up was PERFECT! I nailed the hitch first try. No need to ask the Wife to yell at my anymore to stop lol.

----

An issue I found was lack of a second cigarette lighter plug (+12v) in the front cab. The one of top of the dash is already in use for DashCam and TripLogic Mileage tracker. Will need to come up with something to allow the Furion backup camera monitor to be plugged in.

----

I am absolutely sold on the engine brake though... wow is that nice in tow haul mode with a trailer attached, I suspect my brakes are going to last ALOT longer than the 1500 did lol.

Where did you find your wheels? Been thinking of going the same route

I bought them from a guy of Facebook Marketplace in Indiana 4 months before my truck got delivered for $1000 with the stock Duratracs with 12/32nds left on them. Worth the 5 hour round trip from Ohio.

My truck arrives in a few weeks. I've posted my Firestones and intend to mount Nitto Ridge Grapplers but my dealer wouldn't offer me anything for the take offs. No hits on my posting for them either at 700 dollars. A new set of the Firestones installed locally would be about 1100 with tax and fees.

Mine languished on FB marketplace for about a week @$600. Dropped to $500 and they were gone in a day. Actually sold them before I had the new tires installed (had appointment).

Alt Trailer Height will only activate with a load. It is not for lowering to hook up. It is for leveling the truck after you put a load on.

What you're looking for is "Bed Lowering mode." However, on the 3500 most are getting mixed results. Mine, with crossover toolbox and gear (and in the summer a 160lb hitch) will lower almost an inch. You can drag the icon to the bottom row of the main screen to make it quicker to access.

Even if it doesn't lower, use Bed Lowering Mode to keep the air suspension from compensating while you're hooking up. it is a must that you lock out the suspension when hooking up a WDH setup.
