just picked up a 21 Ram 2500 Tradesman Crewcab. I have a 120lb chocolate lab that likes to ride with me everywhere. The rear bench seat folds up of course and there’s 2 storage bins that are open underneath that makes it awkward for my lab to stand and ride safely. Has anyone seen or does anyone know of options to make it completely flat back there? I’m about to build a platform, but checking here first.
Thank you2204A73B-388B-4A4F-8F06-18CE4BFD72A3.jpeg

I saw a photo where folks had placed a sheet of plywood there, and the above the plywood they cut memory foam to shape and placed between the front of back seat and the front row.

That was my original plan!

Wow, called 2 different Dealerships and they didn’t know a thing about the load floor. THANK YOU! Starting to regret buying a Ram

I think the load floor is for the split rear seats not the bench like in the Tradesman. And the parts folks deal with all the lines the dealer carries, and all the different models, and all those different options. How many parts do you think that is? And you could not be bothered to look for a part number for your truck? (https://www.moparfactoryparts.com/o...cDA-tb_ikf8GsTmDJ5MSJ67UJ7Cef9iBoC050QAvD_BwE)

I know that after dealing with Harley for so many years. I just couldn’t find it anywhere . Now I have it.
The parts manager gave me a 20% discount when I walked up and handed her a list of HD parts numbers, and the motorcycle info (1989 FLHTCU then). I was looking for 12 different parts. About $1200 at full MSRP.

Ummmm...it's kinda the parts guys job to look up part #'s. That's what they are getting paid to do............

Yeah I just called them with the parts number and the guy tells me they can’t even install it themselves. He said it had to come on the truck. They don’t even come with an accessory kit to install it.

I think I'd be checking pick apart junkyard for one that has the fold flat that you could take out. I imagine there's gotta be some of these trucks totaled out in junkyards already.

If he looked up the catalog for the Tradesman it will not even show up as an available option.

Ever worked a parts counter? Too many folks cannot follow simple instructions for direct bolt on. Much less adapt something to fit their model that was designed for another level of trim.

In a dealership, no. But I have worked auto parts counters, and have worked with parts books and diagrams for years in other industries I have been in.

But yes, I understand your point, unfortunately most parts people anymore cannot think beyond what the computer in front of them tells them.

And, in some instances they are not allowed. A couple years ago I too in an old wheel bearing. It was a common wheel bearing. The parts fellow could not look up the shelf tag to find the bearing unless I could tell him what vehicle it went on. When I said it was for a motorcycle, I was told that they do not sell bearing for motorcycles. I asked for the manager. The manger stated that using parts not designed for a motorcycle was a liability and they would not sell me the bearing. A customer behind me told me which car used that bearing, and they almost would not sell me the bearing because the vehicle called for a single seal and I wanted the double metal sealed version.
