Ram's Holding Some Late November to Early December (Possibly More) Orders Due to Quality Issue (threads merged)

So it appears your truck is not one of the recalled trucks if you are taking delivery. Mine was built a couple of days after yours so I am hoping the situation with the bad relays that was a cause of the recall was corrected by the time our truck were built. I am hoping to see mine in the next week or two.
The recall was only for the diesel trucks

Am I the only one here that wants to know where their truck has been the last two months before they take delivery?

Supposedly he's going to the police station now to recover my truck and a power wagon that got stolen last night. No idea yet how the police got the trucks back. Great point about asking for the police report, I will definitely do that!

it depends on the condition. The guy told me that the keys are in the vehicle at the rail yard but it's in a "secure location" (lol ???) -- so it's possible someone got in it for a joy ride and they didnt bust the truck up.

However it's also possible they destroyed it and/or dropped french fries between the seats.

I told the dealer that it's hard for me to pay new car price on a stolen car. He said "that's your choice" (lol ???) -- I told him I dont expect him to take the loss on it, corporate should do it. He said he doubts they listen to that line of thinking.

100%
Ha Ha Ha!... Yeah the french fries between the seats is a definite sign that excessive abuse occurred., A deal breaker for sure!

I would worry about a branded title....on most stolen vehicles they get a branded title in some states....how many miles on it would be key to me. If it had more than a couple I would say keep it.

Picked up my 2nd order today (exact same build placed on 2/18). Amazingly the 1st truck still has not arrived at the dealer yet and why it went to Detroit to get fixed will forever remain a mystery.

I'd like to know as well, ordered 10-21-20, as of today, still no truck.

For those of us who have been waiting, did you notice your sticker price go up by over $1k? Mine did from when I first downloaded it, to when I checked it yesterday

I would not want the truck after it was "stolen"... Just not something I could deal with!

I wouldn't either but what you want and what the insurance says are 2 different things. Had a friend go through it and as much as he fought it he had to take the truck back, they are not going to buy you a new one unless it is totaled.

Hahaha well my saga continues!

My dealer just called to tell me my truck got stolen from the rail yard.

What a **** show this has been.

Heard from my dealer this morning. Corporate will not allow them to sell the recovered truck to me anyway since it was stolen. Unclear what damage was done, but they said it would go to auction with no warranty and sold "as-is."

Probably for the best anyway, given the unofficial recall + being stolen, the first time something happened to it I'd be wondering if it was related.

So I'm back to square one. Dealer said he ordered another one for me "expedited" so it should be here in 8-12 weeks LOL. Such nonsense all the way around.

Good luck to the rest of you guys, crossing fingers your truck doesn't disappear before you get it.

yup recovered stolen vehicles get branded titles in most states. Branded title = no warranty. Hope they give you some kind of special discount when yours finally arrives..

Interesting that it shows up on CARwiz.com and Truecar.com

Did you ask why it was held for so long?
All they would tell me is it was in a batch of about 2000 trucks that had to be pulled for a quality check. Funny enough, my buddy ordered a 3500 GMC and his delivery was delayed by a few weeks for the exact same reason, “quality check.” Who knows...
