Ram's Holding Some Late November to Early December (Possibly More) Orders Due to Quality Issue (threads merged)

Guess I don't understand how your incentives expire. My dealer and I worked out a price when I ordered the truck. He said I would receive any additional incentives that are offered
from FCA during the time it takes for the truck to come in. I ordered the truck Jan. 28th, he called on Feb. 1st saying that there was an additional $1250 I would save because of the
new incentives for February. Maybe things are done differently up here in Canada.
I think most incentives are based off of delivery date, when you take possession of the vehicle. I had a $750 incentive I received in the mail in February after ordering my truck in December. Since it’s March now, I’ll have to work with FCA to get them to honor the February incentive since it’s expired now.

Dealer told me they could not add the incentives until financing was done.

I don't understand why Ram is being so secretive about this issue. I will not take delivery until I know what the problem was. Here is the email I got today from Ram Care

I pretty much got the same form email from them as well. Must be what they are sending to everyone.

It doesn't seem to be a Hemi vs Cummins thing. Unless it's a driveline issue that's common to both (but why some trucks but not the rest) could it be one of the options? Here are the major options I have:

Tow group
Level 2
12-inch screen
RamBox
Bed Utility
tonneau
bedliner
sidestep

Or maybe the cartel did steal the keys. As ridiculous as that sounds it isn't outside the realm of possibility.

That email was 99% corporate fluff. Other than the estimated delivery date they didn't say anything of value. The rest of it just feel good BS that wasn't at all believable or reassuring.

Here is what I received today as well. More feel good BS and no new information. As everyone knows by now, my 12/16/20 order hasn’t even shipped, it is stuck at Saltillo

I was told that there was a railroad strike between Mexico and the US earlier in the year. Not sure if it's still going on.

If that was the case alot of other people would have known about it and why wouldn't Ram put that out especially when they had nothing to do with it.

That is not the kind of information that legal types worry about getting out if it was true.

I was told about the strike in November. This is a seperate issue.

What I was trying convey if the rail strike was behind their transportation issues Ram could have disseminated that info to the customers and /or the dealer network at no risk to itself.

They did. They told me that when I ordered it. Instead of taking 8 weeks it would take 12-13 weeks for delivery.

Ok. I was going by what others have been saying that they have been left completely in the dark about the delays.

A rail strike that occurred months ago should not effect builds made months after the strike is over. What makes no sense to me, is to have a backup of built vehicles at a vendor that obviously cannot keep up with the output of the assembly plant. I personally don’t want a 90k+ vehicle that has been left to sit outside in the weather for months sold to me as a “new” vehicle, expecting full price.
