Hi everyone!

New member here. I just placed my order for a 2021 2500 laramie 4x4 with the 6.4 hemi. I’ll be coming from a 2017 Colorado. It’s been an amazing truck but I am super excited about switching to Ram, let alone upgrading to a 3/4 ton. They said it can take up to 12 weeks which places me in for a May delivery date. Might not be a bad thing since they may have some Memorial Day incentives by then. In any case happy to be on a new forum!

My truck is still stuck in third party vendor purgatory, received build sheet 2/10, no window sticker yet. Order date 12/16/20
 
Looks like Customer Care just sent out alot of emails with updates. My order date was 2/3 and I got an email saying
I should expect it to arrive at dealer the week of 4/8. Very happy wth that.
 
Another question for the group. When ordering, how are you guys doing on price? I don't need specifics, but on the build sheet, there is a "FWP" price. It looks like 5 or 6k below MSRP. How much are you negotiating below that on an order? I received very little below that and was told I would get current incentives and possibly some additional off when the truck arrived. But I'm not sure they are shooting straight.
 
FWP is Fleet price I believe...I’m wondering is FWP the same as Factory Invoice?
 
As a reference, I was offered 6.3% below FWP from Mark Dodge.
Thanks. If I see a pattern of well below FWP, I will negotiate when it arrives. If they don't budge, they can keep it. I'm "friends" with the dealer, so I really took them at their word. I don't need the absolute best deal on the planet, but I would be upset to know that they took advantage of me. My responsibility to negotiate, but they know that I don't dealer shop because of our relationship, so that would be taking advantage. If shopping any other brand, I would shop dealers. Oh well, I appreciate the feedback!

I'm $350 (Out the Door) above FWP, which I've been told by several, is a good deal.
 
I share that same philosophy, Bryamill. I chose Mark Dodge from recommendations here as them being fair. I accpeted it and havent looked back knowing I was not taken
for granted. Hope you will be treated well.

I got just over an 8% discount/ $1000 under factory Invoice. If you notice on your order there is HB (holdback), that is an automatic profit for the selling dealer. These trucks are hard to get (2500's) so you probably won't see much for incentive's from the factory. Lot's are loaded with 1500's so those are the ones that will get facory kickbacks. The only hope for me to do better than the $1000 under is March is truck month so maybe something will pop up. If not, I feel like I did ok.
 
If you are happy with the price you got then you got the best deal....That's the way to look at it!!
Agreed. It's all about being happy with the deal you have. I do agree these are hard to come by right now and the dealers aren't as willing to negotiate.
