That to me would be suspect. There are no recalls on Ram's listed right now. I would be more concerned that it may have damage on itAm I still the only person who has a truck held at the rail yard due supposedly to a "recall" of some sort? According to my salesman, the truck's been there for 2 weeks now. Ram customer service is of no help, they couldn't see anything other than it is still awaiting shipment. Ordered a 2500 Tradesman with the Hemi, it was built on Jan 9th.
Not to stir the pot but I'm afraid your dealer is full of *******. Recalls aren't done at the railyard. I bet your truck is just waiting for shipment and your dealer felt a need to justify the long wait time. Its sad how some salesman are pathological liars. Some are great but the few that can't tell the truth to save their soul ruin it for the rest of them. Good luck with your truck. It will be worth the wait.![]()
I truly suspect that they are repairing damage without my knowledge. But sadly I have no way to find out...That to me would be suspect. There are no recalls on Ram's listed right now. I would be more concerned that it may have damage on it![]()
I here your frustration but the rail yard doesn't do repairs of any kind so who knows what to believe. Not sure but i think if a vehicle gets damaged during shipping it's up to the dealer to have it repaired. maybe someone else knows for sureI truly suspect that they are repairing damage without my knowledge. Friend bought a Mustang GT350 and had a rattle in the drivers door when shutting it. He finally took it in to have it checked out who said it was left over body work (dealer didn't know it was repaired by another dealer who sold the vehicle). My friend contacted the selling dealer who confessed to repairing shipping damage without his knowledge. They bought the car back at full value and it was months/miles later. Guess they didn't want the heat from trying to swindle the buyer. So....this crap does happen. I'm sure it is not your issue, but I'd schedule pickup during the day in bright daylight so you can do a full inspection.I here your frustration but the rail yard doesn't do repairs of any kind so who knows what to believe. If you send us a private message with your VIN, we can look into this for you.Am I still the only person who has a truck held at the rail yard due supposedly to a "recall" of some sort? Maybe he just fumbled the order in some way and is now buying time... aka forgot to submit it for a few weeks or something. Maybe good news news that there is no damage but rather it’s not as far along as you were led to believe..I truly suspect that they are repairing damage without my knowledge. But sadly I have no way to find out...
Our SL dates are only one day apart. I ordered on 10/30. They gave me a delivery window to Saint Louis Mo between 2/6- 2/20. I too am hoping that my truck arrives with no damage. My incentive expires on the 28th thou so I have a little more time to work with. My order was a two tone paint also.Am I the last of the September order dates that hasn't gotten their truck yet?
