Hey guys I've been reading some thread's about this, I want to add rock lights and a front light bar to my power wagon but I want the oem aux switches. I've already found the part number for the switches its 68376640AE and I found a OEM Aux PDC box kit with the part number 68398184AC. It comes with the blocks to hook up your positive power as well. My understanding is once I remove the trim and swap my trailer brake into the new panel all needed plugs should be behind the dash. But from where do I need to pick up the signal for the relays in the PDC to send power to my lights? Sorry if this doesn't quite make sense electrically I'm not very good with it but I'm working on it as projects pop themselves up.

I was told by an uplifter tech that this can't be done unless the truck was ordered that way. So I ordered the 68398184AC anyway. What's interesting about the 68376640AE aux switch panel is it seems it fits a 2020 PW when you look at the parts list off the mopar.com owners site. You can see I have powerwagon selected on the parts page. Other part lookups say it doesn't fit. I'm probably going to order it anyway.

I read your long post in the auction switch post and from what I read alfaobd is what turns the switch menu on in your infotainment unit. The tech probably doesn't realize we can do this

Yeah I wondered about. that. Some are saying the front left side dash wiring harness doesn't have the wiring between the aux switches and the aux PDC. I haven't verified that as true yet.

If thats the case it will probably have to be done with a Amazon relay box

Do you know what wiring im looking for? Pics of plugs and locations maybe?

There are two grey plugs clipped onto the PDC.

Have you looked at the AUX switch upfitter doc available on the RAM bodybuilder site?

As much as I would love to have the oem switches, I have decided it is too much of a headache trying to retrofit these switches in. I will be installing the Switchpros 9100 in my PW instead. It will still offer clean wiring and can look fairly oem with the color match backlighting, and has even more programmable functionality than the oem switches (Battery vs Ignition on, momentary vs latching, Trigger signals, flashing lights, master switch, etc).

Really it’s ridiculous they don’t offer the aux switches for the power wagons when it’s available on every other Ram. I truly wonder why, I’m sure they have some logic behind it...

TOTALLY AGREE on second paragraph comment !
Power wagon needs extra exterior lighting! Examples grille lights, & spot lights!
USE FULL especially in night time in bad weather rain/snow when the winch is required !

Right, I feel like Power Wagon owners would be even more likely than most other Ram owners to add auxiliary lights, air compressors, etc.

I’m not sure what people use them for on regular rams other than auxiliary lights or strobe/construction lights. Plows and spreaders typically have their own controllers.

I wonder if you could have special ordered the aux switch wiring harness . The build code is LHL.
For a power wagon, no. There is no option for aux switches for the power wagon. On a truck that is equipped with aux switches, the aux PDC is part of the left dash harness. On a power wagon, the wiring for the axle lockers is contained in the left dash harness. Since only power wagons get axle lockers, but do not get aux switches, there is no such part number for a left dash harness that contains the aux PDC AND the wires for the axle lockers. If you are intent on adding the aux switches, it can be done. The switch bank swaps right in, and the BCM can be configured for them. Then you just build an aftermarket aux PDC relay box and add the wires from the 6 switches to each relay’s #86 pin.
If you are adamant about having the factory aux PDC, then your only option is to get a left dash harness part number from a non power wagon truck that has the aux switches, install it, and strip out the axle locker wires from your current left dash harness, and install them into the new harness.

Would be interested in where you are going to put the switches. I am probably going to go this route as well with either the switchpro or sPod. Just trying to figure out where to put the switch "pod".

I'd pretty much come to the conclusion a factory left dash harness was a practical impossibility. I ordered the VSIM upfitter option but that seems kind of useless now that I know it's not like an aux switch option. You could use outputs from it to operate relays, like driving lights tied to high beams, or additional backup lights tied to the factory back up lights. But you couldn't run an onboard air compressor like an aux switch could do. The VSIM can run a wig wag light show though! Yay!

We know from the 15 page aux switch thread that the 68376640AE aux switch panel will work.

Somebody makes the aux PDC box, you'd think you could find it somewhere. I like the fact it's factory and connects directly to the battery and bolts on in the normal place. Then it's just a matter of wiring.

I was designing a bracket behind the battery in the OEM Aux PDC location for the power module, then I was planning to put the keypad on my lower center console behind the transfer Case shifter(I installed the 4th Gen floor console so I have a bit more real estate to work with than the standard 5th Gen which is just carpet)
But...
...
..
.
I saw SDHQ released a power Module bracket that goes by the main PDC and laser cut replacement panel for under the stock light knob, so I ordered them instead.

The aux PDC box that they use is just a $15 relay box you can find on Amazon. The rest of the wiring is easy if you’re familiar with relays.
