I am taking mine in at 7am tomorrow to see what they say. I stopped by on Friday and asked the service writer to look at it but he declined and said just bring it in on Monday and they would look at it.
I do but I think they come standard on 2500?Just thinking of something here- do all of you guys that have this problem have cab/clearance lights?
I have a thought, but I’ll come back to this after I see if others have them, too.I do but I think they come standard on 2500?
Let me guess. You want me to remove fuse from the cab lights and test it?I have a thought, but I’ll come back to this after I see if others have them, too.

Yup. Possible RFI from the LEDs, because they are on when the truck is remote started...Let me guess. You want me to remove fuse from the cab lights and test it?![]()

Have you ever took it to the dealer? My truck has no roof clearance lights. And the only led lights on it were the tail lightswhen I bought it, until I upgraded the headlights to the factory Led ones. My problem has been there since day one. I thought of pulling fuses, and or turning lights on and off to see what might be the culprit, couldnt pick up any RFI with a spectrum analyzer and the truck running, so im not sure it is RFI or led’s causing the issue.
It was a thought. Trying to think of every possibility. The 5th gen DT guys are having issues when they install LEDs in the CHMSL. FCA switched RF Hub manufacturers for the DTs and 2019+ HDs, which they both share. The roof lights are a little far from the RF Hub, too. But...just to rule every possibility out, I wouldn’t mind being humored by someone with cab lights pulling fuse 79 and checking the behavior. My truck has no roof clearance lights. I have cab lights. I am having no issues.
Thing is, it wouldn’t happen to everyone. The 5th gen guys install LEDs in the third brake light, and they get a fob not detected message when they step on the brake to start the truck. There’s no rhyme or reason to it brand wise. One guy can install a lasfit bulb and not have an issue, while the next guy installs one and has issues. Same with other brands, some report the issue, some don’t have it. For an issue like this, it’s not a matter of it not happening to someone else, but it’s ruling out every possibility for the those that do have the issue. I wouldn’t be surprised if this issue is VERY widespread and people just don’t know it- it’s just that a lot of people have remote start with passive entry, so they never have a reason to even use the fob to unlock the doors after remote starting.my buddy has cab lights (standard on PW) on his 2020 and no issues.
My buddy does have passive entry so he never tried his remote until i told him mine did not work. Both july 2020 build dates. My lights are all stock and mine has just level 1 equipment his has level 2. My doors don’t open nor does my tailgate release nor will it shut off using the remote. Eventually the doors will open With the remote But if still running and you get them to open they won’t lock using either the remote or door locks.Thing is, it wouldn’t happen to everyone.
