2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

Ok that is a nice truck. I drove a work truck back in the early 80's it was a Ram power wagon. That truck was a beast, loaded it could drive through almost and conditions. My new truck is a HO Diesel Bighorn I think that may be why they seem to be slower on the 2021's.

In the 2021 Buyer's Guide, it shows on the Limited L1 package and safety group package.

Limited Level 1 Equipment Group (M1) — Includes Digital Rearview Mirror, Center High-Mounted Stop Lamp with Rear Cargo Camera, LaneSense® Lane Departure Warning Plus,(19) 360º Surround-View Camera System,(22) Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus with Auto Emergency Braking,(11) Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop,(12) premium 17-speaker Surround Sound system and Trailer Reverse Guidance(22) (included with 360º Surround-View Camera System(22)) (A69)
Safety Group — Includes Digital Rearview Mirror, LaneSense® Lane Departure Warning Plus,(19) Blind Spot Monitoring(21) with Rear Cross-Path Detection,(22) mid-level LED headlamps (Tradesman and Big Horn/Lone Star(8)), premium taillamps (Tradesman and Big Horn/Lone Star(8)), premium LED fog lamps (Tradesman and Big Horn/ Lone Star(8)), rain-sensitive windshield wipers, Auto High-Beam Headlamp Control, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus with Auto Emergency Braking(11) and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop(12) (requires L1 Group and Trailer Brake Controller (XHC) on Tradesman) (AAU)

Trucktrend Promaster article shows this:
I hope that's simulated and it has a larger view area, that's pretty tiny.

Guess I am getting old. What would be the advantage of the digital mirror over a old fashioned mirror?

The digital mirror shows you what's behind the truck without looking through the cab and across the bed. the new mid-engine Corvette also uses this technology because you can't see anything using a regular mirror.

Thanks. I assume the camera is in the tailgate. Is that additional to the tailgate rearview camera with the display in the dash radio?

First time Ram owner here graduating from my Rubicon. Ordered a 2500 Laramie crew diesel on 9/29 in Peal White two tone paint scheme. I've read in past threads these two tone paint trucks are built later on in allocation. This is my reasoning to why I don't have a build sheet as of today.

I can tell you I will never order a Ram truck again, ordered Sept 21th been given 3 different ship dates now, it is still in Mexico, nothing special 3500 reg cab hemi 8ft bed gooseneck prep going on 12 weeks I was just told on ram chat I should wait for an update on Dec 23rd!! The 0% rate that end Jan 4 is a joke, takes 6 months to get one!! so disappointed!!!!!

Today my dealer told me this.....“They are experiencing delays in shipping, and are trying to get all them loaded and shipped out. There was an embargo on loads from Mexico and it delayed things. It has been lifted and things should start moving.”
My was ordered on 9/21 and window sticker on 11/24. This weeks marks 12 weeks for my build, and I was told 10-12 weeks. I’ve started looking for a 2020 now because who knows when it could be here!

I got the same email.. my truck was built 2 weeks ago.no sticker yet..
.I did find out from a co worker that came from an fca assembly plant . That ever trim package and every color comes down the assembly line in no particular order.. paint robots can paint blue then red then black..

I always wonder why people such as yourself get pissed off at things without understanding what is happening and then blame a party that is not at fault.

The real issue was that a few Mexican unions (teachers mostly) were blocking rail lines in Mexico that amongst other things carry almost all the cars out of the factories to either coastal ports or land US ports of entry in TX, AZ and CA. In lieu of this multi-month blockade you had (and still have) goods instead being carried on trucks instead of rail which if you know anything about intermodal transport takes exponentially longer. This is true especially to the pacific coast which feeds the western US since the blockade was the biggest there. The blockade was finally fully unblocked last week after the MX Gov reached a deal with the teachers union.

If you bothered to research for a mere 1-2 minutes you would realize that this disruption affected quite a significant number of automakers with Ford putting out press releases over the summer that it significantly impact their operations. This extended to just about every sort of good that is made down there.

These sorts of posts are so bizarre.

I thought that blockade was settled a couple of months ago.. anyway there are some 21 hd trucks showing up on ram search as on dealer lots now... hopefully they throw some sort of a rebate on them.. there advertising ep pricing on the leftover 20s now around here. (Indiana) Thats probably your best deal. Nothing like an ordered truck though..

Pa42,
You are not obviously are not part of the world that gets paid for results, and not excuses, there is no embargo, there's no teachers strike, I would listened to you more if you said something about coronavirus, but the only delay is from their own management getting in the way. Yes there is google on computers these days, good for you. More reason to move the plant back to the US just proving you can't run a business in a third world country, I will at this point look at a Ford HD made in the US with reasonable ship dates, enjoy you limited pay check from FCA.

Hi all! I ordered a 3500 Laramie, SRW, short bed, with the HO Diesel motor in early October. I’ve been in D1 status for several weeks now, but today my salesman told they actually moved my ship date up a bit to January 4th. Given today’s date, does that seem plausible? Although I’ve owned several ram trucks this is the first one I’ve ordered, so I’d really appreciate any insights.

What you just wrote is totally devoid of any comprehension.

But ok, go get your Ford buddy... https://www.freightwaves.com/news/f...exican-government-to-quell-railroad-blockades

Let me know how that goes when a good % of the components that go in it are still made south of the border including the 6.7.

They had a few of them, some were resolved earlier but the last one that was really halting rail operations was resolved 12/2. https://www.freightwaves.com/news/rail-blockade-ends-in-mexico

Ordered 9/8
Vin 9/15
Build Sheet 11/21
Window sticker NOT YET
Dealer and Ram chat supervisor are telling me it is awaiting shipment. Ram chat is telling me it is waiting for optional equipment install. I don’t know what to believe. I’m into week 14 with no end in sight.

I'm right there with you. My truck was built on 11/25 and I was told it was awaiting accessories. What, a bedliner and 5th wheel prep? That shouldn't take over 2 weeks. I ordered on 9/29.

I've read both articles, the rail blockades are in Michoacán, and Sonora. Ford stated that they "may" have issues with the Sonora blockades because their (Ford Bronco Sport) Hermosillo plant is in Sonora. Sonora is almost 900 miles west of the Saltillo Ram production facilities. With Saltillo being much closer to Texas, (Hermosillo is near San Diego) it's unlikely that Ram shipments would be effected. Also the Michoacán is much farther south and near Mexico City.

I have the same accessories. Ram chat advised the truck actually gets shipped to an offsite vendor for installation.
