So I emailed RAM Chat yesterday and got this response today:

Congratulations! I am excited to learn of your all-new 2021 Ram 3500 you have ordered and I appreciate the time taken to reach out to us today. I would be happy to review your vehicle order status further with you. I can understand your desire to track the order status of your new vehicle, and I appreciate you taking the time to express your interest in seeing a website version of this tracking system. While I must advise at this time you will not be able to utilize our Vehicle Order Tracking System (VOTS) to track the progress of your recent order, I have taken the opportunity to note your comments with us. The vehicle identification number for your Ram 3500 is 3C63R3JL4MG508154, please note that the typical build time for your new vehicle is between 7 to 9 weeks.

Currently all of the materials that are necessary to build your Ram 3500 are being received and the build process should begin very soon.We encourage you to periodically stay in touch with your selling Dealership for additional order updates.

I was surprised they got back to me so quickly. Disappointing that in this day and age, a customer can't track thier build on the ol interwebs. At least I have a VIN and I'm in the pipeline. Order went into FCA on 10/6. 7-9 weeks pus me somewhere in December. Christmas could be especially awesome this year.

The dealer probably should have told you on 8/22, the last date to order a 2020 was 8/6. I believe the first date that FCA accepted orders for 2021 was 9/4. Did the dealer give you a copy of the Priced Order Confirmation (POC) form? The build priority section at the bottom should say "01". It's my understanding that orders that have a Scheduling Priority: "1-Sold Order" get built before orders for dealer stock. My order is for a Limited Crew Cab Hemi, ordered on 9/14, and is in D1 status with a build date of 11/26. If your order is marked "1-Sold Order" I'm wondering if its the Mega Cab that is causing the delay. When this is all over, the D150 might make a cool resto-mod..:)

My truck is a sold order.... I actually picked the D150 up today as it was the first day i had free... and im still in D status.. still not sure when i will come out of that.. I have my VIN, so i will just keep checking it i guess.
 
New to the forum...new to Rams. Ordered a 2500 Laramie mega cab Hemi on 9/27. Billet silver with Night edition. Received my Vin on 10/10 and found out today (after pestering my SA) that I am in D1 with a ship date of 11/21. Don’t see a build date located on my POC.

Congrats! relative to other orders on this forum that a pretty quick turnaround.
 
Ordered my Hemi Crew Cab Laramie Night Edition on 10/05. FCA came back with a ship date of 11/26. Thanksgiving shipping. Hah. I’m guessing it’ll be a few weeks after that before I get her.

Had to place an order for a 2021 after my 2020 order was damaged during delivery. Original order was placed 6/24. New order placed 9/30. I haven’t been able to get an estimated build or ship date by @RamCares yet. Hoping to get the truck before the new year.

Wouldn‘t it be something if ram would update their truck builder to include 2021 model year at the same time they launched ordering for 2021 models at the dealers? You would think that would be a first step. Oh well, as Ram is slow to fix other known problems, so goes ordering, I guess.

Ya, no kidding. Seems kinda dumb to switch all new orders to 2021 (a while back!) and now having them start showing up places and you STILL can't see or build the 2021 on the website.
