Greetings. I am cleaning up the look on the truck a bit (removed RAM door badge) and wondered what the consensus for the 4x4 Off Road decal is. This must have been a late 4th Gen add as I saw one the other day with it but I'm not familiar with Dodge/RAM doing bed side decals. The only one I can think of is the second gen Ram with Sport on the rear. Otherwise, it's mostly been the domain of Chevy/Ford (1989 for Chevy if I recall).

I like the look of just the Cummins badge on diesels but since the 2500 Heavy Duty badge is contoured in the hood, looks like that is staying and its not bad so don't mind that one. I'm not sure about the 4x4 decal though. Besides, its a skid plate and some shocks (and hill descent control that will likely never be used) not some wild ZR2 or Raptor super package. No catchy lingo like Z-71 or FX4 it's just plain 'ol 4x4 Off Road. Since it's silver on Granite it doesn't look that bad though....

I'm leaning peel it. What say you?

if it is factory I would leave it if an add on remove it. you can enter your vin on the mopar ram dashboard site and see the build sheet.

I like my sport sticker, don't much care for the 4x4 off road sticker. I dont think I cars for it because of the color difference where in the sport the only coloring Is in the letter edging, not big filed in numbers and letters, i say its your truck, you do you., but I would yank em20200430_165140.jpg20200430_165116.jpg

I have a black truck with the off-road stickers...the black is so easy to scratch and mar. What are y’all doing to remove them and not damaging the paint...just heat and peel?

A little heat. A LITTLE! If any residue/adhesive is left you can use a synthetic clay pad, and or a something like 3M adhesive remover. They usually don’t leave much of anything.

It's peeled! Thanks for your opinions. The peel it won.

I fingernailed a corner and it peeled clean. A little McGuire's quick detailer and microfiber cloth took care of the rest. It's not a heavy adhesive like the badges. Claybar or polish will take up any light mars in the clear, but you won't have trouble. IMO, bed side decals are for 1/2 tons.

Cheers everyone.

WD40 will remove the leftover glue as well. Something everyone has and works great.

absolutely love the lights at the back by the wheels ! Are those aux switched? Do they come on with the running lights? ... if your bored, would love it if you could toss a part number!

Those are just the rear marker lights on the back side of the duelly fender that came on it

I want to change my vote to keep it now! Just kidding, it looks much better now.

Peel it if it’s a short bed for sure. And all badging either must be removed or switched to black. No plasti-chrome allowed on $70k+ trucks. Chrome is sooo nasty and plasticized chrome is against man code.
