I bought it about 18 months ago with 80,000 miles on it, so not sure about new. I believe it was rated at 270 miles. Yes I believe a lot of life left in it, it's in great shape. People worry about batteries and while there are failures, just like there are engines that die, the vast majority last quite a while, easily over 200 k miles and there's a lot of high mileage Teslas.Great data points! What was your max mileage when new? Sounds like your battery still has TONS of life.
How often do you charge to 100%, if ever?
Awesome! You got me beat I’ve only had a couple of them but I did have a 2 door back in the dayI’ve had 7 Cherokees, but this is the first 2 door… they are just good ole reliable vehicles.View attachment 90968

Most of the 2 doors I’ve seen in the south were 2wd, and I don’t see very many of them. I think I see more of the 97+ facelift 2doors. We 4wd swapped that one with parts from my earlier xj I rolled.I'd be curious how many 2 door Cherokees of that generation were made, can't be a big number. I'd see them around but seemed like a small % of the total.
I was interested in the compare/contrast between a 2 door Wrangler and a 2 door Cherokee. Very different vehicles but I wonder if there was some crossover with owners.
I still have both my YJs and a JKU also, my biggest issue is finding the room to keep everything out of the weather…Most of the 2 doors I’ve seen in the south were 2wd, and I don’t see very many of them. I think nowadays XJ people do dabble in other projects and 4wds so I know a few people with wranglers and XJs. Back then XJs were not as popular to mod, lots less support (and 35s were big tires then too)

I actually bought the 4 door Wrangler to replace my wife’s 4 door Cherokee, she says it’s the closest vehicle out there to a direct replacement of an XJ.I'd be curious how many 2 door Cherokees of that generation were made, can't be a big number.
