Real-world 2026 GAWRs and Payload

Considering a '26 - probably a move up from my 2500 to a 3500 SRW.

Can anyone provide a real-world sticker of their 2026 2500/3500 SRW GAWR and posted payload? Ideally a 2026 Cummins Limited 4x4 SRW crew cab.

I know the website has the the GVWRs but that's just a an estimate and it would be nice to see what is actually out there on the line.

GVWR’s are not an estimate, they are set based on model/cab/drivetrain. Payload is an estimate, which is based on GVWR minus curb weight. Payload will vary based on options, GVWR and GAWR will not.
 
Not sure what my GAWR is but GVWR is like 11,040. I’ll try to get my GAWR tomorrow.

Truck is a 2026 RAM 2500 Bighorn Cummins Crewcab 4x4. Attached the window sticker also.

Not sure what my GAWR is but GVWR is like 11,040. I’ll try to get my GAWR tomorrow.

Your axle weight ratings are on the other sticker on your door, but they are going to be 5750/6000.

I know, that's my bad, I was distracted when I made the initial post. I meant to say payload and not GVWR. Thanks
 
Interesting. My truck has GAWR 6,000/6,500.

Yep, some of the earlier 4th gen 2500’s has higher GAWR’s.

There are some configurations that get a 7K RAWR on a 2026 2500, but they are all gas.
 
Interesting, Ram only advertises the 6000/6040 combo on 10K GVWR trucks.
It would apear that Ratlance is showing us a new truck with a 11,040 GVWR. As far as I know the GV of 11,040 is a 2026+ thing now.

It started on some 2025’s and the figures I quoted were off of 2026 Ram documents that show both 11,040 and 10,000 GVWR’s.

It's all so confusing at times...what I want to be sure of as best as I can is what the highest payload number I can get coming off the line with highest GVWR selected. Perhaps one way to tackle this is to go to a dealer and look at trucks on the lot and see what the stickers say.

Ideally I want a 2500 since that's the only model that offers full factory air suspension. Really ultimately trying to figure out if a dry pin weight on 5er of 2,080 lbs is going to work with said truck. Or if it has to be a 3500 SRW. DRW is not on the table for me.
 
A 2500 will handle the 2K pin weight just fine, but I’d personally go with the auto-level 3500 if you have a choice.

My 2500 handles my 5th wheel great, but the auto-levels were better.

I had a fiver with a “dry pin” weight of 2,005lbs. After loading for camping, pin weight was ~3k, give or take, depending. My truck handled it fine but I can’t speak for the air suspension.

Thanks. I've really liked having the pure air bags (factory air) on my 2500. I use the "bed lowering mode" daily to slip in under the 5er in the garage every night. And it's really good for hitching and unhitching the trailer. That's the main reason why I'm starting to research if I can handle a heavier 5er with the new 2500s vs getting a 3500.

The factory air is susposed to be able to handle whatever the GAWR is for the truck. If it is over-loading it is suposed to set off a light in the cockpit. But, of course, it doesn't tell you by how much over-loaded it is. (note: I have never had it over-loaded). My current 5er is only about 1250 lbs pin loaded - I've scaled it...it's a small GD 270BN.

Bed lowering is far more effective on the 2500.

I really like the 2500 suspension on the back roads and the 3500 suspension when loaded heavy, but the 2500 isn’t a slouch by any means and I’ve been rather impressed.

Yeah, bed lowering squashes it all the way down with no weight at all in the bed. And Alt Trailer Height is a must for my setup to bring the trailer almost level.
