The fact that while the 2026 power train is warranteed for 10 years, the Cummins is only warranteed for 5 years. That does not give me the warm fuzzies about the diesel. However, the diesel is mandatory in my application.
All warranties are limited to one degree or another . Mainly because of stupid things people do with their trucks .Note the "Limited" part. Good luck.
The Cummins is included in the 10/100,000 program also. It’s the exact same power train warranty and coverage as the usual 5/100,000 power train warranty, except extended to 10/100,000 for the original owner. The fact that while the 2026 power train is warranteed for 10 years, the Cummins is only warranteed for 5 years. Guessing it’s not retroactive if you’re still in the original power train warranty? The Cummins is included in the 10/100,000 program also. It’s the exact same power train warranty and coverage as the usual 5/100,000 power train warranty, except extended to 10/100,000 for the original owner.
Not sure what you mean? If you’re the original purchaser of a 2026 Ram truck, you get the 10/100,000 powertrain warranty. If you’re not the original purchaser of a 2026 Ram truck, you get the 5/100,000 powertrain warranty (5/60,000 for non-Cummins).Guessing it’s not retroactive if you’re still in the original power train warranty?
I should have been more clear, pre - ‘26.Not sure what you mean? If you’re the original purchaser of a 2026 Ram truck, you get the 10/100,000 powertrain warranty. If you’re not the original purchaser of a 2026 Ram truck, you get the 5/100,000 powertrain warranty (5/60,000 for non-Cummins).
It’s a promotion that is only for the original purchaser, so they can’t put it on the window sticker because of others that might buy the truck used.Keep in mind, this great marketing coup is not listed on window stickers and website listings, despite being the current warranty. I cannot believe folks don't get canned for this.

Are they that dumb/stupid that they cant explain to a customer as to why they would want one that covers all of the high cost to repair electrical & electronics stuff that the engine/power train warranty does not cover, they must be very poor sales people if they can't explain why.....I will say it is pissing off dealers, harder to sell the useless extended warranties.
Sent you a PM on this…It’s a promotion that is only for the original purchaser, so they can’t put it on the window sticker because of others that might buy the truck used.
Current original 2026 owners can see the details of their 10/100,000 warranty in their Ram or Mopar App. When the dealer pulls up the original owner’s service information on Dealer Connect, it will show the remaining 10/100,000 warranty:

LOL, I believe it. I did everything over the phone when buying this current truck (except the final signatures when I picked it up). They tried and tried over the phone and again when I picked it up. They didn't make much after my employee discount so they needed any kind of bonus possible. Sorry dealership, these trucks cost enough I'm not giving you anything extra.I will say it is pissing off dealers, harder to sell the useless extended warranties.
I have doubts that Granger is pulling Shenanigan’s on anyone, IIRC they have minimum price they have to sell them for and not that long ago they sold them for just $50 over cost, its why they sell so many as they are working on volume, also very few dealers will match there price because its so low....The irony with the new factory 10/100 is that the Mopar extended warranties on Ganger CDJR still sell for the same price as they did before this roll out. Shenanigan’s anyone?
