Anyone with a '23+ truck figure out a way to stop the mirrors from unfolding at 10mph. I narrowly missed taking one out on a tree the other day while off-road when it suddenly opened itself back up.

I've tried unchecking auto-fold in the UConnect settings, and it does stop them from auto folding and unfolding on lock and unlock, but they still unfold automatically at 10mph when they've been manually folded.

I'm 90% certain that the mirrors on my 2020 2500 would fold and stay folded at any speed.

I can confirm I've accidentally folded the mirrors on my '22 2500 at highway speeds. Guess they have "fixed" that problem.

I would like to be able to fold them in at highway speeds for the narrow bridges, has anyone found a way to disable the speed setting on them opening? Any tuners available to disable them on a 2023 Ram 3500 HD?
Looking for a solution to the same problem. When I'm going down a tight off-road trail, I usually fold the mirrors in to avoid damaging them. But, as soon as I hit 10mph, the mirrors automatically UNfold. So frustrating!

Anyone know if there is an AlphaOBD setting to disable this UNfold feature in the 2023 RAMS?

Bringing this one back from the dead. I finally tried completely disabling auto folding in AlfaOBD, and while it did stop the mirrors from auto folding when the doors are locked it unfortunately did not stop the 10mph folding limit.

Wanted to piggy back on this, I have a 24 and have the auto folding mirror option enabled in the settings, but they don’t fold. Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?

I assume you’ve tried disabling the option and then reenabling it?

Yes, that goes without saying
I figured so, but best to be sure.

Sometimes doing a factory reset on the UConnect fixes issues. I had to do that when I got my '23 as the turn signal cameras didn't work. Someone here (Jimmy I think) suggested it after even the dealership couldn't resolve the issue. If it were me I'd try that next. After that any troubleshooting I can come up with would require AlfaOBD.

Hey guys, did anyone have a solution for this? Same issues in Brazil and it's VERY useful for tight spaces and large cities, to be able to pass with mirrors folded. It's ACTUALLY hazardous to the vehicle and the people if you cannot fold them whenever you want

Unfortunately, STILL dealing with this automatic mirror UNFOLD problem. When I'm going down a tight trail, I fold the mirrors in to avoid damaging them. But, then mirrors automatically UNfold as soon as I reach 10MPH.

Another annoying "nanny" feature in the 2023 HD RAM: I will sometimes use my front-facing camera (visible on UConnect) to navigate through rocks/obstacles on a trail. But, then UConnect suddenly removes the camera from view. I'm not sure if it's a time limit, or if the camera is removed from view because I hit a certain speed, but either way, it really compromises the value of having a front-facing camera!

Yep, imagine we do the AEV prospector XL conversions here in Brazil, and then imagine that unlike the US, everything is built for what you guys would call small trucks (for us they're medium, like Colorado, Rangers, etc). Then Buses going around the city and you fold the mirrors to go past them or maybe your garage, then you go past that stupid 10MPH/17kph and it unfolds into the bus/wall etc... In my 22' Prospector XL I usually am at the left side curb and sometimes there are trees (OR PEDESTRIANS) and I simply tap the button and fold the mirror and that's it, now on 23+ you have to brake/change lane/damage a mirror... Front camera is frustrating too but they're just copying the Germans, try backing up a Volkswagen above 30kph, it just goes black as in "Hallo! Why aRe you so Fast Backwards, du Schieße?"

Shouldn't it be Schießekopf?

:D

On My 2019 BigHorn they will stay folded , but they don't automaticly fold when I lock the doors . Is there a setting in UConnect for that ?
