I see about half say good, half say no good. I have a 2020 CTD with only 53,500 miles, light towing once in awhile and today it died. Started slipping, then check engine light, and now the fluid is burnt. I guess I'm more venting than anything but also wanting input on upgrades. Have they made it or do they still break. Do I fix it and sell it or try to make it better. Somebody, EVERYBODY give me some input. Thanks

Skipping past warranty and all other possible options you may or may not have....
I'd maybe give them a call.

There’s been maybe a couple reported on the 19+, not as common as the older models. I’m in the process of doing a revmax vb and should have it finished up today. No issues, just preventing some down the road. I also will be running trans tuning to up the psi to 225. Anything over stock psi and the vb likes to cross leak.

Yeah just for another reference point, my 2024 2500 Cummins just blew it's transmission at 4,238 miles. Haven't hauled anything heavy yet, just 20ft trailer here and there. Had it repaired under warranty and almost took a whole month. I'm looking into replacements/upgrades. Pretty wild for that large of a failure this early on.

if it means anything, mine died at 99,475 miles. just before warranty died. Took 3 months to fix. 14k later of their money in parts.

Yep! Figured I'd just wait for an upgrade for after the warranty goes out.

My 22' 65k work truck the valve body was warped and replaced under warranty. My personal 22' 50k TQ went out and replaced under warranty then i upgraded the valve body to a Rev max.

Not sure yet, truck still sitting at Stealership waiting to see if they are going to warranty it or not. If they warranty it I will let them do their thing and then probably upgrade it afterwards. If they won't cover it I will take it to a local shop that already knows how to upgrade.

That's strange due to I've walked by stacks of 315 70R18 tires for sale at the Grand Junction, Colorado Ram dealership. Checked their Mopar website and they sell the equivalent 35 12.50E18 tire size there too including a Load Range F tire in that size. That is too stiff of a ride tire for a Jeep. It's probably sold for the Ram trucks.

Purchased our 2024 Ram 3500 4x4 in Montrose, Colorado which has the factory Snow Preparation Package for attaching a plow. A plow probably weighs around both the brush guard and the OEM winch on our 2016 Ram 2500 4x4 Power Wagon combined. Our 2016 Ram runs 35 12.50R17 tires.

Not covered under warranty due to vehicle modifications of oversized tires (35X12.50XR18) and aftermarket brushguard adding excessive weight to drivetrain.
Brushguard?!? That is crazy. Theses are HD trucks, I cannot see how a brush guard would even remotely be considered excessive weight. Larger tires is bs, anything they can come up with to deny warranty. I’d seek the advice of an attorney personally.

Sounds like you need to talk to an attorney.

1. Most 35s don't actually running 35in more like 34.5 and stock is 33.4ish. Your talking less than 4% different.

2.brush guard bumper has no bearing they have to prove you exceed truck payload to even argue that.

3. My truck just spend 1 year in the shop with 35in tires and after market winch bumper and they replaced my torque converter and would of replaced Trans if needed.

Most people 90% of the time drive with the truck empty and non towing. Therefore most of all driving was done no where near truck capacity. Three passagers equal the weight difference of your bumper. STAND YOUR GROUND fight back.

Our 2016 Ram 2500 4x4 Tradesman Power Wagon has a new Mopar 66RFE transmission installed in it in October 2024. It has the Mopar factory transmission warranty of 3 years. The truck has a brush guard and 35's. No denied warranty of the previous 4 rebuilt transmission failures. End up replacing it with a very hard to get new unit.

Now you know why I call them the Stealership! They sold me my 35" inch tires and my truck has the snow plow package! I'm not a lawyer and can't afford a lawyer but I did tried these same arguments. They had some Mopar rep come out to view it and they refused to fix it under warranty. I'll never buy another one.

Try Ram care and another dealership if possible. Some dealerships will void warranty without even talking to Ram since warranty only pays half rate.

All else start calling some attorneys and you might find one to take it on.

Our family's 2014 Ram 2500 4x4 in rural Wyoming has the 6.7L and the G56. No issues. Our 2024 Ram 3500 4x4 in rural Western Colorado has the 6.7L and the Aisin AS69RC. No issues. Our 2016 Ram 2500 4x4 has the 6.4L and the 66RFE with 4.10-1. Towed it all over the eastern USA with no issues, but get it back home and the 6.4L would rev high on our 10% grade. The hydraulic pressure on the valve body assembly would blow and/or burn up the overdrives towing up our Colorado 21.4 mile continuous grade climbing 5,800 feet in elevation. Similar value body assembly on the 68RFE with different rated springs. I wasn't going with a xxRFE in our new truck. No way.

Just ask Ram how they can sell a truck with AEV package sitting on 40s with 3.73 gears and maintain full warranty?

I suspect they were just peeved I didn't buy the truck from them, I had to tow to another shop.

My stocker has no cross leaks with added pressure. Wont hit the 225 with the stock VB though.
