2025 RAM HD Builds and Orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I currently have a Laramie and was going to order another one. Mine has Heated/Vented seats. When I noticed the 25 did not have that option(along with a few other things) Ram boxes etc, I elected to go with the limited. I'm glad I looked closely at everything before ordering to make sure I was not disappointed with it missing something like that when it arrived. I also read a review concerning the engine brake. In the review it said it appears to not work the same way do to the 3:42 rear end. Does that make sense? Let us know how it goes after you tow your load with it
Mine did not say it had vented seats anywhere but it does have them, just fyi

I saw on YouTube reviews that the Limited has a couple changes which I'm unsure of being for the better or not.

1. One reviewer said the dash area no longer appears to be real leather. Maybe a cost reduction? Maybe this improves long-term durability?
2. The seats are no longer 100% covered in leather. They have some small areas where fabric material is used. It looks nice in the videos though... not sure this is a bad thing.

Anyone have a Limited yet to confirm?

Mine is at a train yard just minutes from my dealer so I expect to pick her up soon!

Link to vid?

Limited seats always had cloth on the sides where they rub on the plastic covers...

The only thing I see different is that there looks to be no more wood at top area of steering wheel like in previous years.

Here it is:

3:40 "nice leather seats with cloth mixed in" -- you can see the cloth mixed in to the surface of the seat... from earlier photos I thought maybe it was more of a suede. He describes it as "cloth"
9:00 "this isn't real leather anymore, I'm pretty sure" -- in reference to upper dash... he goes on to speculate on a possible up-side

To be clearer on the cloth in the seats, here are the exact locations I'm talking about (and I believe what he's referring to in the video). Again, I'm NOT saying this is a bad thing but it's surprising... it might actually look really nice. Tough to know without seeing it in person!

That's exactly where I would want leather - getting in/out of the truck wears the bolsters the most.
It doesn't appear to be cloth on the entire bolster - just those specific sections I drew arrows to.

Mine may have or may not have been loaded on a train yesterday. Got a forwarded e-mail from my dealer showing VASCOR transport showing a "move". Finger crossed.
My 2017 Limited has all leather seats and like all other full leather seats, the most wear and tear is on the raised section of the seat edge where you enter the vehicle, it cracks and turns white, I wonder if the cloth section gives the seat flexibility or forgiveness, giving the edge of the seat longer life.

I'd considered that too - or possibly aid in the ventilation?

My 08 Laramie's leather held up just fantastic. The bolster started to crease, then a crack formed (more from my sitting in it than getting in/out). The underlying textile backing is keeping a hole from forming for now. I'd say the leather is in ~90% shape though, for a 17 year old truck is not bad.

I had a much older 1978 Lincoln that had perfect leather after 17 years, having seen way more use/abuse. So, for me at least, there seems to be a downward trend in material quality. Its a shame too, because the 2025 will have cost me twice what my 2008 cost, and 280 X what my 1978 Lincoln cost.

Well, she showed up at the dealer! Looks like payload is 5,121 lbs on my CCLB laramie drw.
Thanks for reporting back. I will probably be around the same, but what a crazy variance from the laramie cc drw in the press event. I honestly was hoping for a few hundred more, but if payload was all I was after I could have trimmed to maximize. Regardless, congratulations on making it through the wait! I'm sure she's a beaut!

Loss of (even the option) a passenger screen delete in lieu of the upper glovebox was disappointing.

That cloth everywhere on a Limited is a huge turn off for me. :-(

The dash doesn't look different, though that one looks crooked AF on the stitch lines (upper AND lower on the pax side) and would not be acceptable on PDI if it was my truck.

What status was your truck in and for how long? I’ve been sitting KZLD since 2/26…. Hopefully it finds the train car soon…

I can't believe for a minute that the small amount of cloth in the Limited seats has to do with savings. There must be an explanation on why, at least I hope there is.
Why would they remove the chrome incerts on both the front a back door handles. Why did they do away with the small amount of wood on the upper part of the steering wheel. Why did the go wit 20 inch wheels and at the least give an option for 18. Inch.
My 25 Lomghorn should be being delivered any time no w and I hope I won't be disappointed.

My dealer just updated me. I believe mine may have been loaded on a train finally if their information is correct.

Newer orders still seem to be moving quickly. I ordered a 3500 Limited Mega w/ Rear Air at the end of Feb; it is built and dealer is expecting it on or around April 11th. Also have some 285/65/20 Defender LTX platinum waiting for the dealership to swap onto the stock wheels before I pick it up.
